We're having a hard time trying to figure out what to do for an upcoming trip. We are going for probably 7 or 8 days during value season, so we can afford a little extra on a hotel room. We were thinking of doing two nights at the Poly since we visited once just to snoop around and loved it, and the rest at Pop. However, according to the '05 room rates (which I know are going up, anyhow) AKL is around $100 cheaper in value season than the Poly. Which is better? I am definitely always up for saving money, but it is the Poly worth it? Also, we cannot afford to split the Poly or AKL with a moderate, so we will be staying at Pop. Is Pop nice? I have stayed at ASMusic and it wasn't anything special, but we ruled out the All Stars since they share a bus and Pop is newer. Do you think it would be better just to stay at a moderate? Is splitting inconvenient? Also, do you think it would be best to go from the nicer resort to the cheaper resort, or vice versa? TIA!

I would go for the POly/Pop split. AKL is nice but I would treat myself to a monorail resort for a splurge. I have never stayed at POP but my sister did last year and she was really happy with everything - clean, bus transportation and she said the CMs were actually fun and entertaining.

The whole idea of splitting a trip seem toooooo much of a hassle to me but if I could get passed that and do it I would go for AKL/Pop. I've stayed at both and AKL is spectacular -- an experience in and of itself not to be missed with some of the best dining to be found. The Poly is OK but I don't think it compares in theming to AKL. The Pop is also OK. Far better than the All Stars but not as good as the moderates.

If it were me I'd stay at CSR, and not deal with the repacking and moving etc. CSR is beautiful, has a great restaurant, great food court, incredible landscaping including fountains and planters, a lake that in the evening makes for a romantic setting and a main pool that is great fun as well as quiet pools which are relaxing.

Just my own humble opinion.
