We are thinking of staying at least part of our next trip at the Poly in February. My only concern is the main pool area. We definitely fit in a pool break during the day. Pictures of the Poly pool make it look small and it looks like it has about 20 lounge chairs. Is it difficult to find a place to sit at the pool?

Also, is there a hot tub at the Poly? Seem to remember maybe not. That's not a main consideration or anything, just something I would want to know.

There are different sides to the pool. There are chairs and loungers on all around the areas facing the volcano. We were there in October, so it wasn't crazy busy, and there were always TONS of chairs available. The area is bigger than it appears in pictures. I was actually surprised having looked at pictures first and then going. That being said, it is still pretty small.

No hot tub.

We have never had a hard time getting a chair in May. I think in Feb. you should be fine. The pool itself is smaller than some of the other deluxe resorts, but it opens up into a very nice beach with a great view of the magic kingdom. The view and atmosphere make up for the smaller pool IMO.

While the pool looks small and compaired to some of the other resorts it is a little smaller but not as small as it looks. There are a lot more lounges then the photo is showing.

All my Grandchildren love this pool. No hot tub at this resort.

The Poly pool is pretty good but it is not a reason to stay there. If you have kids the slide is pretty good but it can be crowded.

Stay at the Poly for the fabulous theming and the easy access to MK and Epcot and the TS restaurants at all of the monorail resorts not for the pool. Believe me, it is worth it just for the monorail ride to MK.

We went last April/May. It was very crowded. But having stayed at many different resorts I will have to say Poly pool is SMALL! Yes you have the view and the beach but kids want to swim and if it is crowded, good luck. When we went the quiet pool was closed so it added to main pool. But I think if you are going in February it should be fine. I do have to say I love the resort and being in the monorail is a bonus! Good luck...

We stayed in Jan, and would go mid day for a swim, the warmest part of the day. We found lounge chairs on the beach by the shallow end of the pool. I did miss not having a hot tub in Jan. But we loved the resort.

I wouldn't worry- especially when there in the winter months. I've stayed there multiples times and never had a problem finding a chair or having space to swim. :thumbsup2

Numerous stays at the Poly (back when room rates were more reasonable) but the kicker for us is the pool (main pool).....it is small, gets quite crowded....limited (very) limited amount of lounges and chairs with a table actually by the pool.....on more than a couple of trips we ended up at the quiet pool just for 3 lounge chairs together (my peeve, paying big resort rates to use the quiet pool since the main one is packed)...

We've seem many of non resort stayers undress at the pool and enjoy, more so than any other resort (might be it's location on the monorail and MK guest deciding to use the pool) who knows and we don't care but it just jams up the pool.....we've moved on from the Poly just for that reason....we break from the parks daily to return to the resort to use the pool, lay out and relax.....too much of a chore at the Poly and no, they do not have any hot tubs......

Also, on more than one occasion, we've seen guests come down first thing in the am and place towels on 4 or more lounges to save for later in the day...we know so because we use the pool first thing in the am and might be there through the day, and they never came back...really not enough lounges for that type of activity...really tuened us off the Poly....good luck!
