Poly or GF for best transportation for mother

We have reservations for GF next April but I really want a resort with the best transportation. Is the Poly a little better? If you walk to the TTC do you just walk on the monorail going to epcot? Do you have to change monorails from GF to epcot? Thanks for any information on this.

Yep, at the Polynesian you can just walk to the TTC and board the EPCOT monorail. Especially if you are in Rapa Nui or Tahiti, it's a very short walk. From the GF, you must transfer as you surmised.

We just returned from a split stay at those two resorts. I love them both, but for transportation the Polynesian wins. Besides the walk to the EPCOT monorail, you can also take the MK ferry (not crowded at all returning to the resort midday). If you use the buses to MGM or AK, you can take whichever shows up first for your return trip...Polynesian or MK(which drops off at the TTC).

It depends on which longhouse you are in. If you're in one on the right side of the Volcano pool (if looking at the pool after exiting the GCH) probably a 5 minute or so walk. If you're in one of the longhouses on the other side of the Volcano Pool, could be up to 10 to 15 minutes easy depending on walk speed.

From the doors of Tahiti or Rapa Nui, it's very short..probably a minute or two to get to the TTC. The TTC itself is a fairly large area...not sure if you're familiar with it. The ferry is closest to the Polynesian. The ramps to the monorails and the bus staging area are probably another minutes walk.
