We're trying to decide which resort to stay at on the weekend for our DVC trip to WDW in December. We'll be there after from Dec. 30-Jan. 7 .

Can anyone that has stayed concierge at both resorts (or one or the other) please tell me what they liked about it? Any info you could give me would be appreciated. Did you think it was worth the extra money to go concierge? Does it make the planning go a little easier?

DH and I have never done concierge- it'll be a first for us. There have been times when I've reserved concierge rooms, but when it came right down to it..... I chickened out! PLEASE help concvince me it's worth it this time! LOL

THANKS!

hello i have not stayed in both but have stayed a couple times in RPC at the GF and LOVE it. i wish i could afford to do it every time...but cannot! as far as making planning, easier, i LOVE to plan, so that part wasnt a big deal to me. I really liked having "snacks" basically all day. DH and I would come back from a park a little hungry and sa "lets go see whats to eat!" and we usually found something. we also ate breakfast in the lounge every morning, and would get drinks and desserts at night. the staff was always very very nice and helpful. i dont know if you were planning to try and stay in the main building, but I LOVE it. just something about that building, being able to sit in the concierge lounge and listen to the music and watch the people, I just love it!

I would also like to know about Poly Concierge breakfast...is it just pastries and doughnuts and bagels....or what else?

Lots of fruit, cereal along with the pastries and doughnuts. Just wish they would serve better coffee.

I love the last minute dinner plans they can get for you . I even had them find a a hard to get dark wing duck pin and have it sent to my room.

Out of these choices I would do either Poly or GF RPC (main building - very $$$) in a heartbeat! I would pick either of these before I would choose GF Sugarloaf (though it is perfectly fine too! Just me :goodvibes )

I also love WL and AKL concierge  but the monorail access from Poly and GF is a wonderful perk.

If you haven't been to tikiman's fantastic Poly website info, here's a link to the concierge page there:

We've stayed Polynesian club level a number of times, Sugar Loaf twice and Royal Palm Club once. I love them all but think of it as a splurge. I don't think it could be justified if you are trying to get your money's worth.
