If you could choose between Poly and CR (MK tower view) which would you choose?

Next May is my 16 wedding anniversary and I've wanted to stay at the CR but I've heard great things about Poly too! I really want to see wishes from my Hotel?

So my husband said tonight to book it for our anniversary weekend! I'm about to wet my pants:lmao:

Now I need help deciding which one? Tell me which one you would choose and why?

I've never stayed above a moderate, so I need info!

Oh and I'm taking my two girls with us~~~ I can't imagine not sharing this experience with them.

IF this post doesn't make any sense sorry I'm excited!

Both Resorts are amaizing in their own ways, so you can't go wrong with either one. However I would pick the Contemporary Tower Magic Kingdom View. It is the best view you can have in all of Walt Disney World and you can watch Wishes there every night right from your room. At the Polynesian you would have to go to the Beach which is nice, however what could be beter then seeing right from your room?

I have stayed at both the CR and the Poly, and have enjoyed both. But if you really want a SPECTACULAR view of Wishes from your balcony and not the beach, then make your reservations for CR Tower Magic Kingdom View.
You will not be disappointed.

We just stayed at both last month and they were both great but the Poly is still my favorite. If you primary goal is to have a great view then choose CR tower, if you enjoy being able to take a stroll around your resort and enjoy greenery then choose the Poly. This was our first stay at the CR and we had the Tower Mk view and it was spectacular, the rooms are very nice but smaller than the Poly.

CR Pros:
MK View
Computer with internet access in your room
walk to MK

Poly Pros:
Gorgeous grounds
Great pools
Plenty of room for a stroll
Watch fireworks from the beach

CR cons:
daytime view is concrete and parking lots
no greenery
no walking paths

Poly cons:
no fabulous view of MK at night

How long are you staying? Maybe you could do both.

AlexTina,
I would have to disagree with you about the Contemporary having no walking paths. In my opinion I think the walk to the Magic Kingdom is one of them, although since you don't think so I doubt I would change your opinion.

I forgot to say that during the day if guests have a Magic Kingdom View in the Tower, they are not even concerned or even looking at the concrete and parking lots. Whenever my family and I have had that view and it's daytime we are looking at Magic Kingdom, Grand Floridian, Polynesian, seeing the Monorail and buses going by. So it's like the parking lot is not even there. Basically if that's the one flaw of that view because your not the 1st to mention it, everything that is around it makes up for it.

I've always wanted the CR so I'll probably go with that but I just wanted to make sure that Poly wasn't the better choice.

Another vote for the CR!! We've stayed at both....but prefer the CR because the view of the Castle is closer! You can't beat the fireworks from your own balcony (or even from the 4th floor balcony)!!

Congrats on celebrating your 16th!! Just went back ourselves to celebrate our 15th at the most Magical place on earth!!! Best wishes and lots of Pixie Dust!!pixiedust::thumbsup2
