So the hubby gave me to go ahead to book us a last minute trip for next month. Trying to decide where to stay.

We've stated at Poly before but was debating on trying Bay since the are new and roomier, from what I heard.

Anyone stayed at BOTH and would like to give me their vote??

Thanks!

I would go with Bay Lake Tower because their rooms are bigger and the fact you will have the walkway to the Magic Kingdom.

As long as you are talking about at least a 1 bedroom at BLT I would take that- a studio would be smaller than a room at the Poly.

I would only go with BLT for a 1 bedroom or larger. The studios are tiny and only have a queen bed and double sleeper sofa. If it's just you and DH, you would be OK but it's not going to be bigger than the Poly.

The biggest complaint I read about BLT is that the studios are smaller than expected. Those Poly rooms are huge!

Perhaps consider CR? I haven't stayed there, but the room size looks impressive. And what a plus to walk to MK!

Having stayed at both during our last visit you really need to know how they are different.

First BLT is more like a hi-rise hotel than a typical disney resort. The BLT Theming is really different than most resorts. I wouldn't consider the newness of the resort as we had many dirt/wear problems and the materials they use in their theme don't seem to stand up to "family" punishment.

I didn't really like being faced with a parking lot everytime we went to the bus stop or walked to MK. That being said, walking to MK was pretty easy.

My family did like BLT but the extra space didn't really do much for us. I think everyone liked Poly much better, but then again, poly has become our favorite resort. Much better theming, low-rise resort so you didn't feel overwhelmed and we feel like we are "someplace else" when we stay there. BLT didn't do that for us.

My next split stay will likely be Poly and then a suite at Yacht Club. Staying on the MK side of WDW during our last stay resulted in us not visiting epcot as much as i would have liked to. We've done split stays at BC and the Poly or GF and found we visited more parks when we did those stays.

Good luck on which ever you pick
