Poly or AoA?

I know this is a silly question. We have DVC and are out of points for the year so we get to stay somewhere new for the Princess half :)

Poly is 2361 with the room-only discount, AoA is 21something. It's me, my sister and my three year old DS. We are leaning towards AoA for the Cars Suite, but I've never stayed at poly either.

Thoughts? :)

With a 3yo, I would assume that much of your time will be spent in MK. We stay at the Poly when we go to WDW and love it. We find the easy access to MK by either monorail or resort boat to be extremely valuable. For the extra $200 or so, I would stay at the Poly.:)

I say The Poly. It's my favorite resort. Although, are the monorails still kind of wacky? The monorail is a big plus for the Poly, and if its not running at 100%, that could sway my vote.

I agree with the pp.....Poly all the way :goodvibes. For us, the location, theme, large rooms, and transportation can't be beat :thumbsup2.

We just got back from a stay at AoA on 10/10. Last year, we stayed at the Poly. The kids really liked the look of the AoA and especially the Cars section where we ended up staying. The theming throughout AoA is wonderful! If the costs for us had not been $1,000 more for our 6 nights, we definitely would have stayed at the Poly. We stayed there last November and loved it!!! The location is perfect and the I just love the relaxing tropical atmosphere. The busing at AoA to the MK could easily take 25 minutes if you're able to get on the 1st bus that comes along. The monorail will get you there in about 10 minutes. My kids liked both resorts but preferred the Poly. We did get to visit though when we ate dinner at 'Ohana (which we love). For only $200-$300 more, I would definitely go with the Poly!

Poly...it's all about that WONDERFUL location!

I had the exact same dilemma....we are doing a quick stay for two nights and one day at MK....I couldnt decide between AOA or POLY either...but the difference for us was 110 dollars so we went with the poly. While I am excited to stay there I am wondering if I will miss a suite for when the kids are in bed. Hoping to request a balcony so we can have some drinks while they sleep.

As other people have said for an extra $200 the Poly is worth it!

Glad you decided on the poly. As someone considering the same two resorts we picked poly too! how many nights are you gone for?

We are there for 6 nights. We come in late on a thursday, so late I almost wanted to book somewhere else for the first night, but I wouldn't want to have to worry about switching resorts (some people like it, seems like a hassle to me :)

We always fly in late the night before and just add that first night to our existing reservation so we don't have the hassle of changing resorts. We love waking up the next morning all settled in our room, refreshed, and ready to start the day :goodvibes.
