When I made the Polynesian's White Meat Marinade a week or two ago, I didn't use the reserved portion for basting. (DH grilled it & he refuses to baste.) SO I saved it & used it a couple of days later.
This time I just put chicken in the crock pot & poured the marinade over it. I added a cup of water to it because I was using frozen chicken & have a stone crock. About 30 minutes before serving, I put in some wide egg noodles to use up the excess water. I had no idea what to expect, because I hadn't marinated the chicken. We really liked the outcome. In fact, we felt the chicken (& noodles) had more of the marinade taste than the chicken that sat in it for 2 days first.
I'll use it this way again.
