Hi everyone,
We were just relocated from AKL to Poly in August. I know nothing about the Poly! We were booked with a Lagoon View. Any suggestions for building/room requests would be greatly appreciated! I understand that some Lagoon View rooms have a theme park view...anyone know if this is correct?

Thanks in advance for your help!!!

I know from looking at the map of the Poly grounds that Tahiti and Tuvalu have lagoon views, as well as Fiji, one of my guidebooks said. Hawaii also does but it is concierge only. I just booked lagoon view today (rack rate was all that was available :scared1: ) but I only requested upper floor and didn't ask for a particular building..

We were there in April and booked Lagoon View and requested Tahiti, first floor. IMO outside of Hawaii which is concierge Tahiti had the better lagoon views. I personally didn't want Tuvalu because there was no yard / beach in front of the building whereas Tahiti did and we were traveling with 2 toddlers so were able to walk out our patio door and play in the yard / sand. We were assigned room 1025. We had a perfect view of the castle and Wishes every night. Tuvalu is closer to the main lodge and pool I believe, but Tahiti is closer to TTC so it kind of depends on your preferences.
The whole place is really beautiful so either way I bet you'll love it!

I better call back, then, and ask for Tahiti! It sounds like the better building for us too...thanks for that info!

Tahiti was beautiful, here was our view from the 3rd floor! The castle was just to the left, just wasn't aiming at it in this pic, but you could see it beautifully, the kids laid in bed and watched wishes every night, Electric water parade also came right across our room!

I think Tahiti does offer the best unobstructed Lagoon view but I'm not a fan of the location. I found it to be too far from the CGH and main pool. Location wise, we preferred Aotearoa. It was very close to the marina, beach area, main pool, and main house which was great when using the monorail!

I also am a "newbie" to the Poly...first trip coming up soon. But I found the tikiman site very helpful.

His name is Steve, and he is an amazing site designated to the Poly. It has fantastic pictures and very detailed information about longhouses and the resort as a whole. Dis will not allow me to display the actual website link but go to google.com and search for: Tikiman, Polynesian resort.

Do you mind me asking what room number you had?
