Poly has Plasma TV's - any DVC resort?

I don't think they do as of yet, but when it comes time for replacement I expect they will get them.
The Poly just got them with the recent refurb. :smokin:

Undoubtedly, there will be some announcement in Vacation Magic about any replacements, just like there was with the beds.

They did just replace the ones out by the pool to flat screen .

Two compared to all of them in the rooms is a huge difference, but at least they started !:happytv:

But Disney pays for WL, Polynesian, etc. We pay for DVC resorts.

It wouldn't surprise me to see them in the new AKV rooms.

AKV rooms will have plasma TVs. My guide informed me of that when we purchased our points.

We were told the same thing when asking about the resort. Plasma TV's, which we were told is going to open up the floorplan a bit.

We'll see. :)

Are we tlking actual "PLASMA" tv's or just "LCD FLAT PANELS?" Just curiuos to know how my DVC dollars are being spent......

Aren't LCD flat panels better than plasma anyway?

The person my wife talked to said "Plasma TV's", but I know that many people use that designation for any flatscreen, so.....

I'm not confident in either direction. Only that it will be some sort of flatscreen. I assume they'll go with what they've used in other places (the Poly and CR), which have been (I'm pretty sure) the LCD's.

Panasonic sells both LCD and Plasma, and they recommend Plasma for screens 42" and higher (as do the geek forums like AVS).

no one is concerned with the report of little ones able to move theses TV's on top of their little selves.

More and more often, hotels are bolting televisions down. I wouldn't be surprised to learn Disney is as well.

I have a 20" flat panel in our bedroom and it is mounted on the wall with special hardware.
