Poly has every room size available for almost every day...more rooms declared?

So just playing around with dates and I noticed that suddenly PVR has every room type available for almost every day. This has not been the case until today. Does that mean that they declared more rooms?

I have been watching September 10 and it has been available for weeks but when I was looking a few weeks ago, blocks of weeks in September were
available at a time. My friend at work just booked two weeks ago for 2 nights in May for a pre cruise stay. I have been seeing lots of availability not just today.

It does look like the availability has changed from what I saw a week or two ago.

I wonder if people are throwing in the towel on staying at PVB because of the construction? Many were counting on the quiet pool being the only significant construction after April. Based on Tikiman's more recent information, there is other construction that will be going on. If I remember right, he posted some additional paperwork was filed for more work to be done to the GCH. It sounds like that may not be the only other construction work going on.

It would be very strange for them to declare more rooms this early. The original declaration was about 40% of the resort (or roughly 1.6 million points). There is no way they are even close to that number so there is no need for them to make an extra declaration.

Thanks. We were there in December for dinner and there was so much construction going on I said to my family that I would not have
wanted to pay so much to stay there as a guest with all the construction and I still feel that way but I do not know when I will EVER get to go
back and stay in a studio (WON'T spend 800+ points for a bungalow week) since we usually travel as a family and with my mom, making us 5 and always get a two bedroom or GV.

I'm booked one night, on my own for September 10 in a Poly LV studio and then meeting my mom and her friend at GFVs 2 bedroom for a few nights prior to a cruise. I figured this is the best time for me to try it out, all by myself LOL

I just posted on another thread about the same topic that I needed the 1 day in an early June that was booked and it opened up just awhile ago. As of about 2-3 hours ago, it had been unavailable.

Thanks for posting. My waitlist for a lake-view on 9/25 wasn't processed, but I was able to book a whole trip for my dates. Even standard view was available.

My wife says that's her top choice, so I just opened up three nights in a BWV Garden/Pool view studio and two nights in a Boardwalk view studio during the first weekend of Food & Wine. It's going to be a good day for a few people.

Okay, so to make sure I understand.... even though it's saying there is little availability at the Poly, there might be? We are trying to book a stay Oct. 14-18. Yes, I know this is both F&WF AND MNSSHP time. And we're non-Poly owners, so that's another hit. Anyway, I tried to book yesterday (March 14) but it showed no availability for Oct 14 (but did for Oct 15-18). I booked at Bay Lake for the 14th. I logged on today to book the 15th-18th at the Poly; it showed no availability for the 15th but for the 16-18. I assume this will be the case every day. The agent said the online availability tool does not always accurately show future availability.

Based on what's being said here, is it possible that these dates will open up? I can waitlist, but we all know waitlists at non-home resorts in October are a gamble. Thanks for any thoughts you have!

Not sure about the other dates but I just had to cancel my reservation for oct 14th so there is a studio now avail for that date if you want it-assuming no one has already grabbed it

Bottom line is you won't know until you book. DVC can add or remove inventory at will. We know that they can transfer inventory to Disney for cash reservations at 60 days from check in, they can remove rooms for maintenance or major rehabs, and they can add them back.

Nope, that's not the case. On Friday, they seemed to declare more inventory which opened up lots of availability. Most of it has already been booked.

To others like me, don't assume it's all gone. Yesterday, there was no availability at the Poly for lake view or standard view on October 14th. Today, there was availability for both for that night.
