WDW recently instituted a policy change- Fridges will be supplied at no cost at all moderate and deluxe resorts. If you arrive and don't have one in your room, just call and ask!
When you get to the front desk request one. If it is not already in your room it will be delivered and set up right away with no charge. That's how it worked for us ( we just returned. ) We requested at check-in, had breakfast, checked into the room one hour later and fridge was there.
The same for us, we requested a frideg at check-in, it came to the room about an hour later and there was no charge on the final bill. We were there 9-12 thru 9-19
There was no fridge, but when we called Bell Services to deliver our luggage, they asked if we had a fridge in room. When we said no, they asked if we wanted one. We said sure, and it was there before we went to bed that night.
The policy, as I was told - is that until all of the deluxes have fridges, they will provide one free of charge; provided that they have them available.
I hope this is true, but they are not advertising it! I had my travel agent call about a fridge (on Monday) at Poly and CR. The CM told her that they did not have them and we would be charged $10 a day. I requested one anyway. I'm hoping we don't get charged but decided it would be worth it even if we do. Although, actually now that my daughter is on an antibiotic that needs to be refrigerated - I guess this would qualify for medical reasons, wouldn't it?
