We've stayed at the Polynesian twice before: first at Rarotonga, which was the ideal location, and 2nd at Rapa Nui, which was not our favorite. This time we'd thought we'd mix it up a bit and try another building. I've requested Fiji, but the family is leaning toward Tokelau. Any input?

We stayed in Fiji and it was great.

It was nice that when we came back to the hotel, we passed right by Capt cook's on the way to the room (going out the back, side exit).

It was close to the main building and the view from our room was the boats with the volcano pool right behind them.

We had a first floor room with a patio. I was concerned that it would be noisy but really, it wasn't.

Both are wonderful locations! The rooms in Tokelau are larger (476 sq ft rather than 409) so that may be nice. Also, both 2nd and 3rd floor has a balcony - which is one reason why we've enjoyed it so much.

Always consider requesting Figi, but I'd hate not to have a balcony and the walk to Tokelau so pretty and very centrally located - an easy walk to TTC.

Anyway, you really cannot go wrong with either request - maybe you could request "Tokelau or Figi" and be surpised?

Have fun planning! :flower3:

We've always liked the 1st floor rooms at Tokelau on the non-pool side. Both for the larger room size and the fact that we can open the sliders and let the kids run around on the lawn.

We love Fiji. The Cove side offers beautiful views of the GF and cove. Its also very quiet, hardly no traffic at all for afternoon naps. Very close to the GCH, pool, and boat launch. I think this is one of the best longhouses.

Ooooo...cove side, huh? I will definitely put in a request for that when we check in and keep our fingers crossed. I had seen pictures of that side and was intrigued..now I know what to call it! Thank you! I can't wait 'til we're there...
