Hey there Poly fans!

What should I do?

At present we have garden view concierge reserved but for $300.00 more we could upgrade to lagoon view concierge. Is lagoon view worth it? What would you do? Any pics would be great too!

Please help!

Thanks!

hoe long are you staying for?
will you be at the parks or out a lot?

it depends on how you stay rearly if your out a lot or have eaten before you come back then you may not make the best of the lounge/ free offerings.

You're already splurging. I'd say go for it. Garden views in the Hawaii building are mostly lovely, but lagoon views are SPECTACULAR! Remember that with your "lagoon view" category, you might not be able to see the castle due to a palm tree in your way, but you would be able to see CR, GF, the beach, and most of the lagoon. MK view would cost more still, and I'd still say, worth it.

Here's our view from our 3rd floor LVC room at the Poly (zoomed in of course):

I think you're right. I keep imaging myself and my girls (9 and 11) watching the fireworks explode over the lagoon.

OMG! Really amazing!

BTW thanks for the advice regarding the AAA question I posted yesterday. I did rejoin today. It cost me $57.00 and I already saved over $80.00 on our 3 day CSR trip in May! Really with the discount it would save me $600.00 off rake rates for the Poly trip but would cost $300.00 more because right now we have the garden view. Does that make sence? Anyway Thanks!!

What are your travel dates again? I think we might there at the same time.

Ok ... I thought we had settled on garden view concierge for our trip next January. (Called and made the reservation today!) Those pictures are really making me rethink the whole thing.

Go for the lagoon view. It is amazing. You won't regret it at all. We stayed at the Poly CL Lagoon view in Nov/Dec and nothing beats watching the fireworks from your room. It was awesome.

The castle is spotlighted all night long. Imagine waking up and looking out to see the castle in the quiet night.

The beds are far enough from the windows and the view is all water (no one looking in on you) and you really can leave the drapes open all night - at least on the second and third floors. When we've stayed on first floor, we leave the drapes open part way for the nighttime view. It's OK. We're Poly-addicted but not exhibitionists - LOL

*sigh*

I think those pictures are going to make me cry! :sad2:

I've been trying to upgrade my GV room for a lagoon or MK but there's no availability. I worked by butt off over Christmas to make this trip extra special. Oh well ... Disney AND the Poly is special enough :wizard:

Glad you like the photos and glad you got that AAA rate! It makes those prices a little easier to swallow, doesn't it? ;)

Oh, and we're booked for Nov. 30th through Dec. 6th. :santa:

Thanks for the advice everyone! Decided to upgrade! It will have to wait until tomorrow though as it's after 10PM the CM's have left for the night. Boo Hoo!

Thanks again!
