Hello everyone, I will be staying at the Poly from 11-28-05 thru 12-02-05, Im so excited as I have not been since 1978 , (I have been staying religiously at GF for the past few years ..but this board ,has gotten me to trade my allegiances to The Poly...also whenever I visit The Poly during my stays I always say I must stay here next time,it seems to me that the CMs are happier and more enthusiastic with the theming than at the GF) anyway can anyone tell me which longhouses will feature the remodeled rooms during my stay. And if anyone has any advice as to which might be the best one to request(Iwill be with my son and grandkids) also any other advice is always welcome...thanks so much...

no expert here but the Poly is a GREAT choice...you will love it!!

I know Fiji is done and a GREAT location to GCH and monorail and pool...it was excellent!!

You also get a Lei and a lot of ALOHA'S while at the Poly, my girls loved it!!

the atmosphere was great and the new room are wonderful!!

I would choose the Poly over the GF (never been to GF btw) over the theme and new remodeled rooms ALONE!!

It was great...
have fun, I am so jealous!!! WAAA WAAA WAAA!!

Thanks, cant wait...what are my odds of getting Fiji? if I request (I know they cant guarantee anything but I can sure try)...

Guess it all depends on your arrival time, your dates and if you fax a written request to the hotel...

I just asked when we got there if I could have a new room, and I got lucky I guess...

Next time I will know to say Fiji, 1 or 2 floor, and even side of the building ;)
and oh yeah...I will fax my requests!

IT sounds like Fiji seems to be the popular choice, I have a Garden View room booked and Im trying to decide if I should upgrade to a Lagoon view...I usually have LV room at Boca Chica at GF(truly beautiful MK views) but Im not sure I really need it at Poly...

Hope we have good weather. I keep checking Tikiman web site trying to decide on what to request,I guess in the end it does not matter where we are as long as we are in this great place..

Maryfree and Susiesnowflake, I will also be at the Polynesian at that time. I am so excited. This is our 1st stay at the Polynesian. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

all of you will LOVE this resort!!
have a great time!!

the rooms, size, pool, transportation, beach, ohanas, it can't be beat!!

it is truely magical and unless you have been in person, no post or message board can describe the beauty of it all!!

(but we try anyway~)

When I made my reservation for Poly, I requested the longhouses I wanted to stay at... do I need to fax my request also? I have received my receipt for my reservation in the mail and in the notes it states my requests. Do I need to fax in addition to this? If so, what is the fax number? Or where can I find the fax #?

Also how far in advance do I fax the request? Do I wait until right before leaving, or now... 54 days in advance??

The request that you made is noted on your itinerary, I have always been accomadated at GF with my request, I have also faxed my request 3 days prior to arriving to help assure request, however I hear varying opinions as to whether faxes are still being considered any more seriously than a phone call

Don't bother with the faxing of requests. Make sure its noted and hopefully you arrive early enough. The 2 times we arrived around 7-8 pm, we got whatever room was left, we had no choice. Last week, we arrived at noon, and got the room (Fiji 3rd Floor) that we requested.

As many others have said, it really matter not where you stay. I used to sweat it and worry where we were going to be....it really does not matter. The resort is not huge and no matter where you are, your a few minutes from the pool, GCH /monorail, or the shuttle boat to MK.

Have a great time! :wizard:

We will be checking in on November 29!

I stayed there last December and I absolutely loved everything about it. :cloud9: The convenience of the Poly can't be beat............gotta love that monorail
