Hi, I was wondering if anyone could give me some info on the Poly's construction. We're scheduled for mid July in a standard, garden view room. When I booked, the reservationist said it would be a room with 2 queen beds- no daybed. Does anyone know if this means I'm getting an unfurbished room?
Would not like too much construction as I am an extremely light sleeper, and don't want to see "ugly" messes while on vacation. This is our first stay at the Poly. Thanks for your help!

The only room on property without a day bed is in conceirge suite. I know someone reported having a room without a day bed but I asked the Polynesian and they said it was not possible. Maybe for a brief time there was one removed to be replaced but all rooms are supposed to have two queens and one day bed. The new rooms with the different furniture have not been done yet. Tahiti will be the first and it has not started yet. It should close next month.

Just came back from the Poly and just as others had posted in prior months...they are so discreet with their maintenance...you do not even notice. We were in FIJI and perpendicular to us was TONGA. I didn't even notice for a couple of days that they were rehabbing TONGA and it was right in my view out my balcony. Whatever Tarps and boarding up they use blends right in. And I heard no noise any louder than the normal guests and boats and carts moving around outside.
