We have reservations at the poly for June 5-June12 Garden View Concierge. My question is that we have a lot of priority seating dinner reservations during our stay. We are going to Whispering Canyon, Ohano, Hoop Dee Doo and the Spirit of Aloha dinner show as well. Will we get enough use of the the food offerings at the poly to justify the cost being we will not be dining much at night at the resort. Would love your advice for all who have stayed concierge at the poly.

We are also going GVC :cool1: and have a nice PS almost everyday. Ohana, Boma, 1900 Park Fare, Sci-Fi, etc...

We are planning to use concierge to make all of our PSs, have a light breakfast (not big morning eaters) and a cold drink or snack when we come back to rest/swim/freshen up before evening. I am also looking forward to one night watching fireworks in the lounge....unless we love being on the beach. You will love it!!!

This has been debated here recently-- I hope I don't stir things up with my answer. ;)

Some will say that food offerings/savings from eating at parks/restaurants should not ever be the reason for choosing concierge level.

Rather, the offerings are not a substitute for meals and that they are meant as snacks.

For my family, it does factor largely in our decision to stay Concierge. We have three kids six and under; all meals they eat are tiny. We eat two light meals a day and eat a big lunch at the park, typically. So for us, a snack in the AM and the evening is all we ever need.

HOWEVER... there are MANY benefits to Concierge besides the food. Personal attention. Ease at making/changing PS arrangements, esp last-minute changes. Turndown service. Separate check-in at the resort. And the pre-planning that you can do before your trip, to arrange any special PS or celebrations with your family. The Poly Concierge lounge has a special area for watching Wishes from the lounge.

We had the WL Concierge made all our PS and they got us CRT without any stress of calling on six different phones at 6:58AM! That alone practically makes Concierge worth it for us :cloud9: They also helped us arrange a very special cake (Cinderella themed) for our DD's 4th birthday: we had dinner at the Castle and the cake was delivered there. No stress, no hassle at all. It was great.

So, decide if the perks of Concierge *besides the food* are worth it for you.HTH! and have a great trip. :earsboy:

For our family, the convenience of being concierge justifies the cost. If you are looking to justify concierge by how much you can eat in the lounge, you will never justify it. We love starting the day out with a breakfast right down the hall, and relax while others in our party get ready. We stop by the lounge for a beverage when we get back to the hotel. We grab a snack on our way out for the evening. We grab a cold one when we get back from the parks at night and relax. Our family doesn't eat 200 bucks in food at the lounge, but it is so nice to have all of that at your disposal.
