ANyone out there that could link me to some recent trip reports from the Poly concierge. Going in August and would love to here the latest? Any Poly Concierge fans out there?

We were at Poly GVC about 3 weeks ago, and it was heavenly!! It was our first stay at this resort and I have been converted- I don't want to stay anywhere else! We were in room 2525 in the Hawaii building. The staff was wonderful, the food and drinks in the lounge were great. Do you have specific questions, dutch63?

We are regulars at Polynesian Concierge and just returned two weeks ago from our annual trek to see the mouse. If you check-out the post titled "Have You Ever Been Bitten. . ." , you will find loads of concierge reviews. I didn't write a review, per se, but here's a link to a copy of my letter to the staff post-stay. My Post

As others have written, if you want to know anything specific, just ask! We all love to talk about our favorite resorts.

I just posted my trip report - take a look if you like.

Hi, we have stayed at the polynesian befor but never concierge and just wondering what some of the highlights we can expect are ty

I'm at thhe Polynesian concierge right now, it's been wonderful so far. Any specific questions I can help with?

Anne

Aloha Ducklite,

Hope your having a wonderful trip. We stayed poly concierge last year but were in the Tahiti Bldg. While it was very nice it was also very crowded lots of people, was wondering if the crowds are lighter in the Hawaii? How are the CMS doing this summer, are you recieving same great service? Hows Chef Dick? What floor are you on, do you have the lagoon view. How are the crowds in the park? Okay, Okay I'm sure you are regretting the kind offer of answering any questions, Please feel free to fill us in on any of the magical details along with any advice for those of us who will be staying at the Poly concierge in the near future. Thanks again for your gracious offer to answer any questions:wave:

Wow Anne, waking to a view like that with coffee every morning and you stilll stay at the polynesian what highlights can you mention about concierge wanting to supprise the family on our next visit was planning to supprise everyone with a 7 night cruise on the Disney magic but it will be in california so thought this might be the next best thing

The service has been incredible! I went into the lounge this afternoon looking for a snack, and they kept offering me food that wasn't even out!

WDW47--My house isn't done yet (we're about a week away--did a walk through the other day).

Ducklite, Is the 3rd floor still the smoking floor? I am not sure what was done with the smoking rules after they re-modeled Hawaii. I am about to make reservations for the Poly and I do not want to ask for the wrong floor.

Rooms 3510-3527 are smoking rooms. The rest of the 3rd floor is non-smoking. I just walked down the hall, and I could only smell smoke outside the rooms at the very end--which would be 3518 and 3519 I think. The rest of the hallway had no smoke odor at all.

I am in a non-smoking room on the 3rd floor, it's SPOTLESS and not a trace of smoke smell. I'll post the number after we check out.

Anne

Ducklite,

What room are you in? We were in 3506 a week ago and it smelled like smoke when we entered, housekeeping agreed and shampoo carpets, stripped bedding and changed curtains.

I think someone smoked in there even though it is one of the rooms designated non-smoking, housekeeping was awesome.

Hope your having fun

Do you have a list of the foods and drink they serve in the Hawaii bldg? I know I saw it somewhere but can not seem to find it.

Anna thinking of requesting Hawaii lagoon view 3rd floor cant wait to see there reaction

We were in 3501. The concierge staff said it's the most requested room in the building. It was wonderful, very, very clean.

Anne

So, let's see, that would be the first room on the third floor, lagoon view, right? How was the view? Any trees blocking you? (There is at least one room that is completely blocked by a palm tree--I think it is 3508.) Did you notice any noise from the stairwell/elevator? It would seem it might be a bit noisy with people all coming through right there...? We love the third floor LV rooms! Sounds like you had a great stay.

The view was exquisite. Completely open view, nothing blocking it.

We heard the ding from the elevator every now and then, and in the afternoon when it was quiet heard a low rumbling sound which was the kids running up and down the stairs in the lounge. NOthing that bothered us though. The thing we heard the most was noise from the MK coming across the lagoon...the howl from the Haunted Mansion, the whistle on the train, the music from the courtyard show.

The room was spotless clean, no smells, no mold, SO convenient to the lounge.

Oh Anne!

If I wasn't already crazy with anticipation!

And if I wasn't already obsessing about location and view:
The view was exquisite. Completely open view, nothing blocking it.

It sounds wonderful. I don't know if you remember but last year my friend and I were staying concierge over in Tahiti. I posted that at the last minute I called and changed our room to lagoon view. You said it was one of the best views in the "World" and I wouldn't regret it. WOW were you right.

This year the kids and I wanted to share the great Polynesian views and concierge service with my husband.

Your comments are making it harder to wait!
Glad you have a wonderful trip.

Tammy

Dear Anne,

Did you request room 3501 or were you just blessed to have it assigned? How was the food? Chef Dick I here is quite a famous figure there.
