Sunday the 1st. of June
We woke up with Mickey at 7am. I opened the glass doors to get some warm air in. It was freezing in our room! And we now realised how close we were to the TTC. Those ferry boats blow their horns when arriving and leaving and they are not quiet about it! but you don't hear it hardly at all with the doors shut.
We go up to the concierge lounge for breakfast I had cereal and fruit, DH went to Capt. Cooks for a crossiant with eggs and bacon (he likes a big bfast), DD had muffins, fruit and cereal, DN had fruit and a bagel. They had the usual bfast for concierge. Fruit, pasteries, muffins, bagels, cereals, Juice, milk, coffee.
After bfast we head off to our first day in the parks. And of course it has to be Magic Kingdom!!:)
MK is my favorite park and I am the planner ! We get there shortly after opening, the park isn't crowded at all. After a few stops for autographs for DD and DN , a stop to buy a couple of pins . DD and DN have $$ buring a hole in their pocket to spend.
We are off to Adventureland. We did Aladin and Jungle cruise then proceeded to work our way clockwise. It started to get crowded around 11am but was neever really bad all day.
We had lunch at Pecos Bills, everyone had hot dogs but me, I still wasn't really hungry so I just munched off their fries and had a soda. we skiped most of fantasyland so my DH could fully do Tomorrowland (his favorite in MK) . We rode most things with less than a 10 min wait. I think the only things with longer waits were BTMR, Buzz, Space Mt. and splash mt. and we did fast passes for those. My DN did Alien Enc. with my DH while DD and I got a cold drink and shopped a bit. My DN likes scary stuff while DD doesn't so that worked out well since I don't like scary stuff much either.
We headed back to the Poly around 6pm and had snacks at concierge . This night they had the usual cheese fruit veggies , chicken and lo mein noodles. DD , DN and I went to the pool while DH took a nap. He still isn't recovered from the drive right after work on Friday. I did notice something at the pool that I have never noticed before. There seemed to be a few people with duffle bags, backpacks, and even suitcases on wheels by the pool. What is up with this? Is it DVCers or hoppers?
After a snooze for DH and cooling off in the pool , we get changed and go for dessert at concierge. We watch the water parade and fireworks from our room . This is when I realized that we don't have piped in music for the fireworks on this end of the beach. I sadly missed the music with the fireworks. And the view to the water parade is not good at all from this far over. We settle in for the night . Wake up call for 8am tomorrow heading to Epcot. Change in my plans for DH. He is dying to see Mission Space (even thought it isn't open) and Epcot is his favorite park. We were going to go to AK for EE but not a big change to my planner so we go for Epcot day 3
Coming Soon day 3

DNSDisney,

I'm hanging on every word. My fourth grade class went to art and I read day one, they are at lunch and I read day 2. They go home at 2:40. I'll be looking for day 3......

I'll also be grading papers until midnight to make up for what I am not getting done today.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for what I am sure is a big task. While we certainly want honesty, those of us going soon wouldn't be sad if you went heavy on the positives!

Am I the only one hoping a CM looses her cool?!? Terrible I know....but LV upgrade.... A girl can dream right?

Tammy sorry but part 3 probably won't be posted until tonight. I have a dentist appt today have to leave in about 15 mins and still catching up on household things like laundry. Have some pics up now though . had some trouble with the link but seems to be working for me know. copy and paste the link in my sig.

Sorry for what seems to be negatives but I am trying to be realistic and there may be people like me who had no idea that there was no piped in music on that side of the beach . I would rather have people go and be happily surprised at there stay than be disappointed in finding out some things on their own. The Poly is the Poly even with a mediocer (sp?) stay. It is a wonderful place to relax and soak up disney. But things to me just weren't up to par with our past stays.

I guess that I'm seeing the two-edged sword of doing research and reading trip reports. This will be our first stay at the Polynesian AND our first Concierge, so we would have have no idea that we were supposed to get music with the fireworks or that the EWP view wasn't as good.

However, please keep the info coming.
Thanks,
Erick

O.K.,
I will try and get some work done while you're at the dentist!
Don't think you need to apologize because of my post. You are absolutly right to be honest about your experiences and feelings. It's just the enthusiasm and anticipation on my part.
;)

I like, Dr. Tomorrow have not stayed at the Poly before, so hopefully I won't be as dissapointed as those of you who are used to what to expect. Also, I am hopefull that they can work out some of the "bugs".

Question about TTC noise, while I don't think I would mind the ferryboat horn (sorta adds to the feeling of being at DW), is there any other unpleasent noise? Like excesive bus or car engines?

Hope the dentist doesn't give you any medication that prevents you from typing!;)
Thanks again for your reports,
Tammy
