Poly coffee makers

Staying at the Poly GV Oct 6-16. Now they have in room coffee makers I can eliminate the 6 :30 am run with the refillable mugs. However I will likely need to run the coffee maker 2 x each am to get the amount of coffee we need to start the day. Does anyone have any input on the coffee and filter the Poly provides. I will bring extra filters and cofee and will purchase extra cream so we are covered. Are they the cone or basket filter type?

I'm heading to the Poly also. Would mousekeeping leave extra coffee and filters each day if you left a note? Seems silly to pack your own if they will provide it. Also, does anyone know if fridges are in the Poly rooms or do you have to request one ahead of time? Thanks!

The coffee makers are little 4 cup ones. The coffee is those prepackaged filter packs. I believe the shape was a cone but sorry I'm not positive.

Our housekeeper noticed I was using the tea when we were in Samoa in Feb. and left me extra ones after that. I imagine if you left a note for housekeeping they would leave you an extra coffee pack.

The refrigerators are not in the rooms yet except for Hawaii (and at least some rooms in Rapa Nui where we've had them already in the room for the last couple of years). I don't think it will help to call ahead...at least it never did for us. Just call once you're in your room.

At the AKL the coffee makers were 4 cup with flat bottom filters. If you like coffee, I would skip the coffee that they will leave you, and bring your own filters and coffee. They will leave a packet that can make 3 or so cups of liquid sort of like coffee but if good coffee is important, I would bring your own.
