doing online check in for room requests. its only showing an option for upper or lower floor. are these the only two options or is this a typical glitch. no choice for which building, near elevator etc

Online doesn't provide very detailed requests at any resorts. You need to call or email MS to have specific things like buildings etc added to the reservation. Sometimes chat can do it too.

I have never had building as an option. Only generic options, upper floor, big balcony, near elevator, etc. At any resort.
