Hi everyone. My husband and I took our kids (6, 3) to Disney this past June for the first time and stayed a week. It was probably the best vacation we have ever been on as the kids loved every minute and we loved seeing their faces light up every minute. We stayed at the Poly and everything about it turned out perfect. Now we are debating about going back in June 2018 again for a week and was thinking of changing to the Beach Club just to change things up a bit. It may be hard to beat the magic of the first trip but wanted some opinions. We would probably do two days at MK, 1 day Epcot, 1 day HS and 1 AK. Since Epcot and HS are walking distance from BC, that may wipe out the advantage of Poly being on the monorail

I like trying different resorts, so I say go for BC! The kids will love the pool, and you will love the short walk to EP. You can even watch the EP fireworks from the bridge between BC and BW. When we stayed at BC we walked back from DHS after the Star Wars fireworks. It was so nice not to have to wait with the crowds for a boat or bus.

The monorail is nice for MK and EP, but if you want a quick commute to those parks from BC you could always use the Minnie Vans or Uber/Lyft. It's really so much quicker than using the buses.

Is your stay long enough for a split? BC/Poly is a pretty popular split stay option - you get a little bit of the best of both worlds.

Splitting certainly has its pros/cons as well, but maybe something to consider, if you really fell in love with Poly?

Stormalong Bay at the Beach Club is awesome, & less crowded than Poly's pool, since a CM scans MBs for entry.

You cab walk to EP, HS, the Boardwalk & Fantasia mini-golf from BC, too.

That’s a difficult decision. Both are great resorts. June is pretty hot. Don’t know if you’ll want to be pushing strollers to DHS.
It’s always fun to experience different resorts. But for kids your ages you can’t beat being able to sit on the beach to watch MK fireworks and Electric Water parade.

I like both resorts equally. For us, the Poly would win out just due to the room being a bit larger and us being a family of 5, but otherwise we really like being able to walk to 2 parks from the Epcot resorts and not have to worry whether the monorail will be running properly or not. Though, I will say that for our whole 10 day stay at the Poly in August, there were no monorail issues at all.

One thing I loved about the Poly was being able to see the castle whenever I wanted. Especially from the pool. The Poly also has better quick service options too.

That being said, when we are not staying at an Epcot resort and are walking around world showcase and get to the bridge between France and England, we always think about how nice it would be to just walk back to the resort, LOL.

Clearly, there are advantages to both resorts, so I don't think you could go wrong in choosing. We are on a mission to try every resort, so we haven't repeated one yet. Only AKL and BWI to go!

Give BC a try! Being able to walk to 2 parks definitely beats out the monorail IMO. And you just can't beat Stormalong Bay. I've stayed at almost all of the deluxe resorts (haven't tried BWI or CR yet), and BC still wins out as my favorite.

We'll be at the BC at the end June 2018!

Yes, I would do it! I think monorail resorts are perfect for first trips - it's so magical to see the castle from the Poly beach, ride the monorail, etc. But, if you aren't focusing on MK, the EP resorts are AWESOME! BC is a lot of fun and the pool is great. Walking to EP and DHS is fantastic and it's really fun to visit the Boardwalk at night. I would definitely switch it up and see what other fun WDW has to offer!

We have stayed at Poly, WL and AKL. I was so tempted to book WL this year as we LOVE WL, but we decided to switch it up a bit and book BC. I say go for the change!

Give BC a try. We a Poly/BC split last trip and we all preferred the BC. They are both great resorts. But SAB can't be beat.

Also switching it up gives you a completely new vacation vibe. Don't try to redo last trip. Last trip was magical and this trip will be too, but for different reasons.
