Poly at Christmas

Does anyone have photos of the Poly decorated at Christmas?? Would you be willing to share?? Thanks so much.

I would be interested in seeing some as well. We are going the week of November 10. Does anyone know if the Poly would have Christmas decorations up at that time?

I would like to see this as well . We are booked at the WL 12/13-12/20, but after our first stay at the Poly in September and LOVING it there, I am contemplating switching to the Poly . But the WL is the best decorated resort at Christmas time, IMO, that I don't know if any other resort can out do it . Maybe pictures of the Poly can change my mind .

We visited the Poly at Christmas in 2006 and I don't even remember seeing a Christmas tree in the lobby. All I remember was LOTS of poinsettias around the waterfall in the lobby. Although we love the Poly (going to be there in August) it's really not an interesting resort as far as Christmas decorations go.

We've visited lots of resorts during Xmas. IMO none can compare to the WL and GF. WL is all "cabiny" and rustic. GF is beautifully decorated with a different twist. The Poly theme just doesn't lend itself to Xmas the way the WL theme does. The YC was pretty and had a huge model village display one year we were there, but really the WL and GF take the cake for decorations.

I did not see a ton of decorations...just a small display of gingerbread houses.....nothing really spectacular so I did not take a picture... the atrium was beatiful and lush with Red Pointisettas (sp?) ...honestly, I thought WL and GF where the 2 resorts that stuck out as having really over the top Christmas Displays / Trees. Still loved the Poly anyway!

They also had Santa in the lobby on Christmas Eve...that was super special. Notice his lei?

The nlack of decorations at the Poly and the Contemporary is the main reason I have yet to stay at either resort for Christmas. I keep debating but never can bring myself to stay. My favorite resort for Christmas is AKL and that is where I will be staying this year and possibly everyn Christmas going forward unless CR comes up with some great decorations now that they have conmpletely renovated the place.
