Hi all....I am in need of some great advicce and while I am careening through 2 million Poly Threads/Posts looking for an answer...thought I should just ask...:worship:

What would you reccomend for a 2 night stay in Decemeber. We are DVC members and will stay at OKW the rest of the week but this is my son's 18th B-day and I want to really give him something special for a surprise. We are not loaded by any means but is it worth staying at the conceigre area...garden...MK view??? As specific as possible advice would be great...

We were supposed to go last year in Dec. but I got sick and was in the hopstal due to my kidneys 1/4 of 2007. This has to be a special trip...

Thanks for the help...any other advice would be great too!

MY family Thanks YOU!!

Before BCV, the Polynesian was our WDW home. We still usually split Polynesian/BCV. It's fantastic to combine the magic of the Polynesian with the space of DVC....especially the space of OKW!

Anyway, my personal preference is lagoon concierge, gardenview, gardenview concierge and then lagoon view. The gardenview rooms have beautiful landscaping and a beach is never far from any Polynesian room which makes it handy to see Wishes and the Electrical Water Pageant. And you can order some very special treats for the difference in price.

Happy planning!

I love the Polynesian resort and have stayed on the concierge level each time. We're not "loaded" either  but we do choose to spend the extra for the concierge experience; it's worth it to us, although I totally understand that not everyone feels that way.

Having said that, I think even staying in a regular garden view room would still be an outstanding experience :sunny:

Since this is for a special occasion, just staying at the resort will be great; even better if you decide on concierge.

I have a lot of pictures and comments of our stays there on my web site; click the link below in my signature to get to my site, then click on the "Disney World Vacations" link to see the various pages from the resorts we've stayed at. Have a wonderful time, whatever you decide :sunny:

So what is the benefit of the conceirge level??? What exactly do you get for that and what is the monetary value???

I am an idjit about this I know but what building is it in???

I just want to get this booked....are there codes available for the concierge rooms or no go Idaho!!:confused3

So I went on the website for the Poly and have seen some pics from awesome travelers that have experienced it already...but...what oh what is the best benefitis from having the conceigre service???

Would you take the dining plan if you also had the concerige food available to you...does it equate a meal??? It seems like B-fast it does but the other food times is a no...does anyone really use the food available all day or would you basically only use it if you never left the hotel???

They do not explain the price so I will have to call the Poly directly today...the resort info that Disney has really does not even give you an option to explore the costs for Conceigre service...

THANKS AGAIN FO THE HELP!!!:)

Hi: We did the gardenview concierge a few years ago and loved it. The food for us was enough in the morning for breakfast and at dinner time for supper. There was fruit and cookies and drinks all day. We did buy our lunch. The guava juice they put out is great.

At around eight p.m we had deserts and I believe that they had wine out. I personally would not do the meal plan if I was concierge. Especially if money is an issue. We usually do a split stay with a mod at the beginning while we do our parks and the poly at the end to relax in.

We loved the times we stayed in gardenview non concierge also. Have fun. We love the polynesian. I would eat all meals at captain cooks if I had to to stay at the poly.
.

Okay..so we got a 40% :cool1: off a Gardenview at the Poly for the 12/13 of December....need to move the original dates due to the discount...and there was no lagoon views available they said...but to keep calling back and asking for one.

So...if we stay at a Garden view....what do you reccomend for a longhouse that will have some/water view as a good likleyhood???

They do not offer the conceigre rooms at the discount.:headache:

Thank you all for the help!!!
