What kind of room should I be expecting when booking a 3land/4sea package. Is lagoon view out of the question? Do they have a block set aside for all cruise packages?

Thanks

It has been 2 years since we did the land sea with Poly. The rooms were garden, quiet, but not the best location. Had to walk a pretty good distance to get anywhere in the hotel. When DH went to see if we could change rooms, the front desk said all land/sea were given specific rooms of that type in one area. Still a good stay though, just wanted a better view!

Whilst not the land sea on the Wonder, we booked a combination Polynesian and seven day Magic trip and were able to pay ofr an upgrade to a lagoon view room.

We faxed a preference to the actual location and block three days before the trip and when we arrived we were put in the very same place as our first request.

We even had a call from the manager left on the phone asking if the location was ok.

They placed a note on the final Friday saying DCL would collect our luggage at 8am Saturday morning and the next time we saw it was on the ship, we went for breakfast and drove to the port without the hassel of luggage.

Polynesian is one of my favoratie hotels the lagoon view was very good and watching the MK fireworks worth the cost of upgrade, however you can walk to the beach and see everything ok.

We choose a location were we had the option of going to the Ticket and transfer centre for monorails or boats as well as the Polynesian stn.

We did not do a room request because we had never been to the Poly before but we had a nice view of the quiet pool (we were in Tokelau longhouse) and we were very happy with our location.

While DCL does hold a block of rooms for land/sea, you can always smile sweetly at the CM at check in and hope for the best. Depending on availability, they can often arrange to meet a request.

We did a 3land/4sea at the Poly this past June....It was recommended to me that we call (the reservation desk at the Poly) 3 days prior to arrival and request a certain location. We did this and requested (Tokelau longhouse, on the quiet pool side, on the lagoon end) We received just that!! It was perfect. It was close to everything and we could see the castle and fireworks from our balcony. We plan on doing the same for our next land/sea in June 2005.

Good luck and have a great time :wave2:
