Aloha Poly lovers. We're leaving in 6 days for our 2nd stay at the Poly. We were there in Feb and fell in love with it. We stayed in Tokelau. Fantastic! We always book a garden view.

What I want to do is ask a simple question: What is your favorite longhouse (garden view) and why?

We haven't made our room request - but I plan on faxing them Saturday. We liked Tokelau but I wonder what the advantages of the other longhouses might be. I will request a view of something other than a parking lot - that's a no-brainer.

Long walks to the GCH don't bother us. Also don't care if we're near the luau and can hear the music.

Stayed in Aroteroa (whatever) on the NORTH side facing the lagoon...loved it...ask for 3rd floor so you have a nice view and balcony at night!

Tokelau would be my first suggestion although the rest are good to but Tuvalu would not be my choice for a garden view room. Fiji and Samoa have great views and Aotearoa is a nice location with good views toward the lagoon or toward the monorail.

Tokelau gives you the larger room, the balcony on both 2nd and 3rd floors. If you get toward the north end you will have a chance at a partial lagoon view, even possibly seeing the castle and fireworks. You are between the beach, pool and arcade/bus stop and you are between the TTC and the GCH.

Aloha

I really liked our 3rd floor marina view figi room! ;) In the past we always had stayed on the TTC side (tahiti, tokelau, etc..) and we tried the FAR side :eek: and it is really nice over there! :smooth: Who knew? It really is no further to the pools (unless you had a room outside the pool), and very close to GCH & monorails. Very quiet, no "pool noise" but enough "action" to be intersting! :earseek: Last December trip was in Aoreotoea (sp?) and that building is great too, we had the monorail view, and for 2 weeks in early december our room had the silver garland and red bows if anyone saw my Xmas decorations.:teeth: ::MickeyMo I liked riding the monorail to mk and have people point at our room, but we never said anything:yo-yo: , kids got a kick out of it going by. :jester:

There are NO bad rooms at the Poly! pirate:

I'm starting to feel like my room request will be Tokelau and towards the North side...we could get a partial lagoon view. Thanks Tikiman.

You know what - it's true - there are no bad rooms at the Poly.

I can't wait - can't concentrate at work.

Our last stay at the Poly was in a GV, Samoa, ground floor looking directly at the Volcano Pool. Room 1610 I believe.

We loved this location. Close to the GCH, 25 feet to the pool, to our right we could see the lagoon and the GF, and it was right in the middle of the Disney Magic!

I have stayed at the Poly over 25 times and in most if not all buildings, all room categories: GV, LV, LVC, GVC, and we always have enjoyed our location. You can't go wrong!

Good Luck!::yes::

I agree with my DD above... Takelau was right by the quiet pool and very convenient. I also enjoyed Rapa Nui since it was so close to the TTC.

Mine is Samoa but you don't have that one on there. My second is Raratonga.
