My parents will be joining us in 2007 and they don't want to go when it's too cool - that rules out Dec - Feb

They don't want to go during hurricane season - that rules out Jul - Sep

And most of all they HATE crowds - but they really want to share the magic of WDW with their grandkids

So, that leaves Mar - Jun or Oct - Nov. Oct - Nov are great, but seem so far away.

So, in 2007, which weeks would you choose for lowest crowds?

Mar - Jun will include spring breaks, Easter, The Flower & Garden show at Epcot and summer vacations

Oct - Nov will include MNSSHP, Food and Wine at Epcot and Thanksgiving...

Thanks for that web site. I thought we knew all of the WDW sites. This one has great info! :teeth:

Oct/Nov seems like a better idea - I can't imagine how a few more months would matter when you're trip is 2+ years away!!!

I voted for the first part of March. Spring breaks shouldn't start that early and mid-winter breaks will be over by then.

There are several other events going on at the end of February and the first week of March. Feb18-20 are cheering and twirling events, Feb 25-27 are dance and drill team events, and Mar. 4-5-6 are additional twirling events. These events attract a lot of people taking part in the competitions along with their families. These are particular busy times at the All Star Sports resorts. {VERY noisy}

March 3-7 is definitely not the quietest! It's right in the middle of spring break! Spring break runs from mid-Feb., right after Presidents Day, to the weekend after Easter, which this year is the first weekend in April. Almost any week in late April should be relatively quiet. Just be aware the Grad Nites the last two weekends in April, so the MK will close early those nights. And the week of May 5th should be interesting, to say the least!

If you don't go in October (one of our favorite times), I voted for April 21st through 28th. This is why:
Spring Breaks are over
Many will wait until the May 5th 50th Aniversary Celebration starts instead of coming a week or 2 earlier
The weather is great in April... lowest amount of rainfall, not too hot or humid
The Love Bugs don't come out until May!

Thanks for voting and all your comments so far! We're going in 2007, not 2005, so there won't be any special celebrations. Easter will be secomd week of April, which is why I skipped a week - no way would we be going then! We were thinking end of April, early May, unless another period in spring is overwhelmingly less crowded.

I really do like October (went last year then), but I am so longing to go again I can hardly wait! And I think my parents would prefer the flower and garden festival over the food & wine because of severe food allergies (and they don't drink alcohol).

Anyone else???

October/November has great weather, costs cheaper, and lowest crowds (to me.) It was 70 degrees the entire time, only rained once during our week trip, and the longest we waited in line was 20 minutes (and that was rare.)
