Poll Time: help me decide which HOME!

Please take the poll.............Reguardless of what you own....please help me decide my HOME. Choices are:
BEACH CLUB VILLAS vs. WILDERNESS LODGE

I didn't vote because I don't think you should make a choice based on the favorite resort of other people. I love both of these resorts but they are very different. Make your choice by your preferences, not mine.

Ia gree, you need to be the person to make the decision. Both resorts have their positives and negatives.

BCV is great if you like to swim, because of Storm Along Bay pool. And you can walk/boat to EPCOT and MGM.

VWL has the advantage of being connected to MK by boat, which also makes it fairly convenient to use the monorail to get to EPCOT.

Both resorts have good dining locations.

We bought at VWL when it opened and when BCV open we bought there to.

VWL is so peaceful and BCV has a great pool!

If you can, I would buy 1/2 at each resort, and bank / borrow 1 each time so you get the full points in the 11 month booking window.

Good luck with your choice They are both beautiful resorts. I have stayed at BCV twice now with a trip planned for 5 nts in August with my 2 sons (11,14). I chose BCV because they love to swim and walk to the parks with me at any given time. At BCV that is possible-MGM and Epcot are very convenient for a late afternoon visit after a day at Stormalong Bay.

This May, I am taking my younger DS5 and DD8 to SSR and VWL. I chose VWL because it is convenient to MK, smaller, relaxed...etc.. and a good pick for my younger ones. We can go to Ft. Wilderness easily too.

To me, the resort vacationing is as important as the parks and we spend a lot of time at the DVC resorts when we visit. I actually planned some time to stay at POR this Aug. so we can "do the parks" during that week and enjoy our DVC time more. Everyone has their own style of vacationing so I would recommend a peek at each DVC resort before buying, just to get an idea.

Of the 2, I would be sadder if I couldn't get into VWL, so that's the one that I voted for. They both have rooms/areas that small groups can meet in, but the coziness of those at VWL (fireplaces and rocking chairs) just puts VWL over the top for me.

I love riding the small boats that transport people to/from Contemporary, and FW, and the bike riding to FW. Staying at VWL, I feel I'm getting 2 vacations, WDW and VWL. Now, the springs pool does get crowded at times, but we've been in many times when our family was very nearly alone at the pool. That pool is very convenient to the villas.

I feel less rushed when I'm at VWL.

If you need a 2 bedroom with 2 Q's, VWL has more of them, even though it's the smaller resort.

If I get 1-2 nights a year at BCV to enjoy SAB, I'm satisfied...that would not be the case with VWL.

They are wonderful resorts, they require the same number of points per type of villa. Neither has GV's. I would second the notion to buy at both, if you really can't chose.

VWL of course. Some would say it's the ony true DVC Lodge.

I would have a hard time choosing but since I own at the Beach Club that must mean something. I can tell you that I rent my points out and 90% of the folks asking for villas ask for the Beach Club Villas. I offer them all of course, but the others can not compare in visitor popularity with the Beach Club. In my small world of renting out some of our points, DVC villas are rented in this order, BCV,BWV,VWL,OKW, and then SSR.

I am going to vote that VWL is the choice for you - call it intuition - it just seems to fir for you

We own at BCV by the way - it is a great resort as well!

As everyone has said, they both have their merits. WL is stunning and our Winter favorite, and BC is so much fun during our Summer trips.
