After alot of deliberation it's come down to 2 ADR's for PPP on 8/24. I need the help of all you experts out there because I am such a Libra and can't decide by myself!! Thanks.
.

I picked Chef Mickey's. We're going for the first time in September and had a hard time getting ADR's- it's one of the most popular character dinners!!

4:20 is also just TOO early for me. I think 5pm is a better choice. Goodluck in your decision!! :)

Is the PPP at Mk ? Then it would be nice to already be there by eating at LLT. Also what time does PPP start. Even though I love CM and will be trying LLT for the first time this next trip I would still go the easier way of already being in the park and avoid any crowd.....PS I am a Libra too ! :goodvibes

I didn't vote but I would stay with LTT....we did Chef Mickey's around the same time frame for several different parties and it was always much easier being inside the park...after you eat you will be facing crowds coming in as well as out of the gates.

What's LTT? And yeah, 4:20 pm would be too early for me for any dinner.

Hi Trivial,

LTT is Liberty Tree Tavern and it is a bit early but I would rather eat before the party than during and by the time we get seated and fed it will be around 5:30 ish. Then we will be in the park like other posters said. My friend likes the CM menu better though so that's the only thing :sad2:

CM's menu does look good, but the taste is something totally different. THe last two times we went, the food was mediocre and the character interaction was just blah. One of the rats (Chip or Dale) never came by until a waitress asked him to. He then started tapping his foot with his hands on his hip. My DD's didn't find this funny at all. They told him to just carry on with what was so important to him. Anyway, the food was dried out also.

I voted for the LTT and although it is a little early for dinner maybe we just won't eat lunch :hippie:. I might be falling asleep and begging for the butter grilled pound cake but I am going to have fun and pinch goofy's butt :scared1: right Miss Diz?

;) LTT because:
1) It's earlier and leaves more time for fun in park
2) It's inside the MK and leaves more time for fun in park
3) You will get waited on, as opposed to the buffet shuffle (and I enjoy being waited on)
4) 'Cause the party starts when you enter the park

 Why not CM, even though it's hard to get:
1) I got a coveted ADR in Sept, and after wondered why all the fuss :confused3
2) If you don't get seated in big room, you really aren't part of the fun
3) Characters were very rushed from spot to spot and kids chasing them all over (I think it's the buffet shuffle atmosphere)
4) BUFFET SHUFFLE
5) Food was not very good
6) Not in MK so you still have to travel alittle bit more
7) Later ADR so less time for fun in the park

I agree! But at least you had a waitress:rotfl2: We waited over and hour to get in with ADR's and once seated we didn't have a waitress...no drinks for us...we actually had to look for someone to give us the bill. The characters were the best part of the dinner but compared to other meals the interaction was very quick and limited. The food was also very disappointing was it was dry and cool. We didn't try LTT but our friends did and they had a great experience...

Hi Hopperfan,

I love your name!! You answered my last thread and crazy lady that I am just couldn't leave well enough alone  :lmao: I am however very grateful for the info you gave me b/c you were right on with the pre-plated meals at 1900 PF and I wasn't crazy for the choices. Thanks to your advice I called today and was able to secure the LTT at that time which I couldn't believe!! I had previously tried and had 2 at one table and 4 at another for a later time so I'm very happy. I also agree with the more time for fun in the park thing and we'll be right there!!! I think LTT it is but please feel free to vote further with your opinions. I love reading them.

Hopper is one of the un-heralded un-appreciated villians that I so love, but I thank you for my choice of secret identity.

I'm beginning to think that I am thinking too much about food, so I appreciate your obsession.........but I guess that happens when you are booking so many ADRs. My DS and I are returning for Free Dining this year, but staying 10 days this time. I was lucky to get all I wanted, but of course, am thinking of changing a few ;) The rest of the family (who can't go because of school) are jealous and don't want to hear my woes, hence DIS.

Glad you found out for sure about 1900. I ended up reading about it a couple more places. Would be disappointing to expect one thing and get another.

Have fun at the P&P Party, I am jealous. Maybe next winter if they do it again. I am hoping to get 2 MNNSHP in our trip :woohoo: We loved it last year.

I would only choose dinner a Chef Mickey's if I couldn't get breakfast. I didn't care for it of course it was one of the last seatings but IMHO breakfast is better. We really enjoy having dinner at LTT and since it is a party night you can get you wristbands have dinner and not worry about everyone coming in w/ you for the party b/c you will already be in the park. Have a great time!!!!!!!!

haha well I love it and you are right about it being underappreciated so it makes it very original. I'm obsessed with the food boards LOL even though I just lost 13 lbs and have a little more to go so I should stay away but somehow it satisfies me without actually eating the food. . . . . until of course I go there :lmao: then it's a smorgasboard of eating. I have relatives who live in Atlanta actually and we might head out there to visit this July and we've never been before. I originally wasnt' going to do the PPP but b/c of the early close of MK I was forced into it and I am sooooo excited to go now. I can't wait to see the special parade and fireworks and oh baby Captain Jack :lovestruc You must have a little one in order to go while the others have school. My dd is 14 today I can't believe how fast the time has flown. I wish at this point that I could have gone for free dining considering the day I leave is the day that it begins :rolleyes1 but next year I will b/c we don't start school here until after Labor Day. This trip however I am staying with my good df and we are actually going to the beach for 2 days and Universal (she has free tix) and then Disney for 5 days YAY so it's not my usual stay 8 to 10 day trip. My ADRS are as follows and I'm pretty happy with them:

Kona Cafe DF B'day Dinner
50's Prime Time Cafe
Le Cellier (love love love it)
LTT for PPP

Let me know if you need someone to listen to your food choices, I would be more than happy to help you choose and thanks everyone for the replies!!

I picked LTT, mostly because I just convinced myself to do the exact same thing but on 8/15! We're going to the P&PP that night, and I decided that I'd rather get there and then eat in the park rather than hurry back to the condo after BBB, eat something quick on the run, and then hurry to the parks. It's more than I want to spend, and I may still cancel and just grab something CS in the parks, but it just seemed like a good idea. You can get in on your P&PP tickets at 4, and eat while the parks are still full of daytime guests.
