Depends on the discount for the 5 day tickets. I'm leaning yes regardless, but we don't need any OTU points this year, and there already is a low difference between Sorcerer's Pass and the 8 day date based tickets we're going to buy for June. If we can get a discount that is enough to offset the $99, then it is a definite yes. If it makes things more complicated with the weekend tickets we'd have to buy, then probably not.

I’m a no - but not because I think it’s a bad idea, just because none of the benefits will really help me. We have the Incredi-pass, so discounted park tickets/ability to use points for Sorcerer pass don’t help, and don’t have a need for OTU points. So far I guess we’ve been lucky with lounge access, so I would reconsider if access became a problem. 🤷‍♀️

Oh that's another thought. If my wife is pregnant next year when we go to Disney, it may become a definite yes regardless of if it is a good value or not. A place to sit down in the A/C in June? With a guaranteed shorter wait than it would be without it? I'm gonna lose the debate if I start on the "no" side.

We’ll buy it. I foresee enough use to make it worthwhile.

Personally this add-on does not worry me. I’m not going turn down anything that get’s us more bang for the buck at WDW.

When we bought Resale we were fine and fully aware of the trade offs. Later we bought Direct and the value has been there even without these perks. $100 to access this extra stuff does not bother me because it will help us get even more value out of our DVC.

I will measure it up against my next trip and call an audible. When I see that it adds value to a particular trip, I'll pull the trigger, whatever that value may be for, but it's not something I'm going to 'put in my pocket' for when I need it.

Yes*

I frequently buy OTU points so this would save $140 off the top. I typically travel in the fall and buy a MNSSHP ticket in addition to a 5-day pass. If they are offering a discount on 5-day passes AND allow park hopping, I can see where this would also be a tangible benefit for me. If I am travelling with my family members, I could take advantage of the discount. I usually travel with my friend who qualifies for the Military Salute tickets which are a WAY better deal than any other Disney discount.

The "preferred" lounge access will be nice too, especially once the MK lounge opens up. As a small contract owner (150 points), I don't foresee myself using points to pay for a park ticket so that benefit is moot.

We have a Disneyland trip scheduled for May; going to the parks 3 days, all of which are weekdays. Even though we don't yet know what the ticket discount will be, the inclusion of LLMP in these tickets already is a savings of at least $96 per person (LLMP at DDR starts at $32/day). So for the two of us, that's $192 value regardless of the actual savings on the ticket. 3 day, one-park tickets are $410 each (plus tax). Even a meager 5% discount is another $40 bucks.

We will also be buying OTUP for our family trip to WDW for Dec 2025.

This is an absolute no-brainer for us.

We don't own direct, but if we did this would be a NO for us right now. We're pretty much in the infancy of our DVC ownership anyway, so right now we really don't have a need for anything offered in this package.

No clue how often OTU points will even come into play for us.

I guess the discounted tickets would maybe come in handy every couple of years but we'll likely stick to the Incredi-Pass most years (even if we were Sorcerer Pass eligible we'd still plan on going during blockout dates every year just due to school schedule, etc. which is why buying direct for the eventual AP savings isn't too appealing for us).

Sure, the lounges are somewhat of a draw, but we often travel with family who ARE direct owners (as I'm typing this I realize I should check in and see if they'd had a chance to look at the offer since it might be up their alley) and we also get access to the GM lounge above Test Track, which is always a ghost town anytime we go up there. Fingers crossed they keep it for Test Track v3.0. Needless to say we're happy to use that one instead of the ImaginAtrium or whatever they're calling it now. :D

I'm the same, but opposite. :) I will not buy this unless the 5-day ticket discount is significant (which I doubt).

Frankly, I'm surprised at the number of posters who are interested in the OTU point perk - I had no idea that many people made use of that. I've never used it or even considered using it.

And the tiered lounge access makes me angry, TBH - it seems like a slippery slope towards creating the DVC "haves" and the DVC "have nots".

Wait, DLR tickets get LLMP included?! That’s great!

My family is a "NO"! Disney gets enough and they keep finding ways to get more. I especially don't like the "front of the line" feature to enter the lounges! I see it as buying a "fast pass" for our lounges. Should be first come first serve like always. As for paying $99 to get discounted park tickets, that's a huge maybe contingent on what the savings are! It would have to be several hundred dollars after recouping the $99 dollars paid upfront.
Now, if you are a family that purchases the memory maker, then it may be worth it.

Overall, I do not like what Disney is evolving into!

The only thing we'd be interested in is the discounted ticket, but a one park per day per ticket isn't our style anymore. Plus my kids have launched so they might not even qualify. (that's how I'm reading it -- one park per day plus a fifth water park day -- is that right?) Seems like a weird ticket to offer to DVC frequent flyers but I've stopped trying to figure out anything DVC does anymore.

I've only purchased OTU points one time in all the time they've been offered. I never realized how many people bought them. I'm happy those who do will get some benefit from this.

Depends what the discount ticket prices are. We haven't needed to use OTUP before.

No only because right now it’s not offering anything I use or would get a benefit from but if circumstances change for me I’d be interested in the ticket discounts then maybe I’d purchase but right now no
