I think OKW is the only resort with ice makers, but I may be wrong.
I think it's a mixed bag. CCV and HHI have them and as Sandi said Riv does as well. I seem to recall them at BLT but I could be wrong about that. I know Kidani does not because that was our first time being at a resort that didn't and we were surprised. Since then we've stayed at least one place without them but I don't remember where (Aulani or BWV maybe?)

However, I draw the line at dead animals smells in the walls. I don't care how much unpacking and prep work I've done, I'm not living with something like that!
Not wanting to revisit that other thread, but the OP did say the dead animal smell only manifested on Day 2, so even they didn’t smell it when they checked in, so there’s literally nothing Disney could have or would have done prior to OP notifying them.

I check for bed bugs and when I was eating carbs I would check for a cookie sheet since I would always bake a package of ready to bake cookies. When things don't work we have been able to fix some or will call maintenance.

We do none of that. Even if something was wrong, what’s the point of not unpacking? It’s not like they will have a spare empty villa to move me into if the dryer isn’t getting hot or something. Nor would I want to go to all that hassle over some appliance issue.

Our outlets by the bed (both sides) didn’t work last time we stayed at CCV. Called the desk, Next day while we were at the parks they were fixed. Had a bad dryer one time, they didn’t have a part, so couldn’t fix it in the 4 days we were there. Disappointing, but it is what it is. Life’s too short to be mad all the time over small stuff.

But if this was true, the number of posts on the DIS Boards would decrease by like 99%.

Proudly one of the world's leading places to argue about First World Problems™️

We're talking about luxury vacations 95%+ of the world's people couldn't even dream of. I try to keep that in mind🙂 Not that anyone's complaints aren't legit, travel can be frustrating for sure.

Saw a video yesterday on the YouTubes about sand mining. Guy in Cameroon dives in a river with a steel bucket hauling up sand into a boat. Dives like 300 dives per shift. Makes $12/day doing it.

Perspective is a great word.

We check the air conditioning before unpacking, which is critical most of our Florida trips. The other appliances get checked throughout the stay as we use them.....

This must be where the expression "Pack sand!" comes from lol.

The "dredgery" of life in the real world...

I only check in the closet and under the bed and behind the curtains to make sure on one is hiding there. Ha

I'm impressed. Not sure I've seen a poll about anything, anywhere, anytime, that has 100+ people agreeing unanimously!
That's because the poll was set up in an attempt by one person to specifically validate a whole litany of complaints that they previously made in 2 other threads that didn't elicit the response they had hoped for. This one makes 3.

Got it - should've known there was an underlying reason!

This seriously is the only and most important item to check off when coming into a room that has an adjoining door. Have always and will always do that immediately.
I never really thought of checking that it was locked. Never dawned on me that it could be closed but not locked.
