So I'm stressing (unnecessarily, as much stress is) over which princess venue to visit, Akershus vs CRT, and which meal to have. We'll be going primarily for DGD9, who loves princesses and has never met one. Both she and DGS13 are conservative eaters, traditional Southern (meat/starches/limited veggies), and DGD has peanut and shellfish allergies.

We're also doing both Tusker House (brunch) and 1900 Park Fare dinner. Probably will have dining plan, so CRT would mean paying for another meal out-of-pocket; would probably be a QS, tbd. Oh, and we already have BOG lunch on another day.

I'm going with CRT lunch first day. All 7 of us thought Akershus was terrible. The food is not good if you have picky kids like mine. Looking at the menu, CRT has some traditional kids selections. We are going for dinner this year. You should
check out the menus of both places and see what they would rather eat, but you can't beat eating in the CASTLE!!!

OK, I went with b'fast first day at CRT as personally I feel that the castle is such a notable place to eat at least once. We went there about three times with our children, but this was several years ago when it was King Stephan's Banquet Hall and the food was soooo much better. But, I would still pay for the experience once now anyway! Went with first day as I like to start my trip out with all the excitement and experience of the castle!! pixiedust:

I'm planning our first WDW trip, so I've never been to either, but I can't imagine traveling all that way and not taking advantage of the opportunity to have a meal in the castle. That's just too cool for school :) We also picked this because it will be our Easter Dinner and because we will be celebrating my inlaws' 50th wedding anniversary, so I wanted something really special on the schedule.

So far, twice as many folks have voted for Day 1 vs later in the trip. And almost twice as many have voted for CRT over Akershus.

Anyone else want to share their vote/opinions, before I make a decision?

If you can only do one I'd say CRT and first day. Just because the experience of dining in the castle is something you have to do. And first day cuz it's a great kick-off vs. waiting until the end. Just my personal opinion. IN terms of the meal I think breakfast is a little cheaper so maybe the late breakfast?

Thanks, everybody! Going with CRT lunch on Day 1 - which also happens to be the largest vote-getter at this point. I appreciate everyone's input!

I always stick with character meals at Breakfast because I find them otherwise overpriced. CRT seems to still be popular and how can you go wrong dining in the castle? My wife loves Akerhaus Princess breakfast and that experience is pretty solid. I think you did fine with CRT lunch.

I am glad you chose CRT lunch. Youwillhave time to get into the MK, and absorb the magic. Then Lunch in the Castle! it does nto get much better than that. I will sathat myfamily has had lunch several times anddinnertwice. I think I really prefer lunch.

I picked lunch because if you get a late-r lunch, you won't miss out on the least crowded time at the park and have a nice break!

They are both Great, so you cant go wrong! The castle is iconic so CRT is a good choice, I however did not like the price and the actual food. I picked Akershus dinner from your poll. You can meet the same amount of princesses (and Belle!) and the food was really good.
Next time we go, I think I am doing both again though, princess meals are our favorite.
