Poll: Did You Use DDE on a Fantasmic Dining Package?

Ok, I know it's not officially allowed, but I have had some success at being allowed a DDE discount on Fantasmic Dining Packages. I'm curious how many others have been able to do it, or have been denied?

It worked for us in September at H&V. They give you the blue card to get in the back entrance to Fantasmic when you are seated at your table. No questions asked when I gave them the DDE card when the bill came after the meal.

We tried at MM in May and were denied. They just said, "Sorry, we can't accept the DDE for Fantasmic packages."

We were able to use it at H&V without any problem.

I asked politely at HBD and was politely told no. I then asked the waiter if he would mind ringing up our bar tab separately so we could use our DDE card for THAT bill and he said no problem. That check was $35 and with the DDE card it went down to $28.

I made sure I ordered the most expensive app, entree and dessert, so I feel like I got a discount on my meal anyway!

We've been able to use it at Hollywood and Vine, and I think that's the only place you'll ever hear of people using it. Why? Well, they ring you up as a regular meal there, not a Fantasmic package, and just give you a slip to go to the seating.

Last January I was able to use it without a problem at Hollywood and Vine, but in May it was denied at Mama Melrose, so I've had it both ways.

Same here about H&V...it was taken there. We ate at BD last trip, and didn't even try to use it, but I imagine they would have said no.

It's kind of a bummer that they don't allow the DDE discount but they allow the dining plan.

I've always eaten at H&V with Fantasmic but didn't have the DDE card and now that I do, I've scheduled our Fantasmic meal at MM...how ironic. I don't think I'll even have the courage to ask. Oh well.
