POLL: Call day-by-day or all at once?

I’ll need three 1Br villas at BWV in August, 2006. We’ll check-in on August 12 and check-out on August 17 (5 nights). Since this will be our first trip to our home resort, I reeeeeally want us to have Boardwalk views.

So, how should I make the reservation: call MS one day at a time (Sept 13, 14, 15, 16, 19) in hopes of improving our chances for BW view? Or, call all at once on Sept 19?

If you want Boardwalk views, call day by day - especially since you need 3 rooms.

I don't know how fast boardwalk view rooms get booked at BWV since I'm not an owner there, but I agree with CarolMN. If it's important to you, call day by day. Good luck!

We usually call once, not day by day, and we have always had good luck.

I don't know if this helps or not but I called even after the 7 month mark and was able to obtain a 1 BR Boardwalk view for all 6 nights at once. Was pleasantly surprised as I figured we would be at OKW or SSR during the week before Christmas. Our reservations are for Dec 16-22 and I called in early June for the reservation. Of course, this was only one unit, not 3 like you need.

I book standard views and I generally wait until the last day.

however make it easier on yourself - call the first day and ask MS what it looks like - they can tell if you need to make the reservations day by day - or can wait.

the only times I have made reservations daily are - Thanksgiving, Dec 1-14. (or any other time in Dec if someone wants to go then)

I don't even think the food/wine festavial (as of yet) require daily booking.

I have never booked at BWV, so I'm not an expert.
That being said, in my opinion, any reservation that is very important is worthy of a day by day call.

FWIW,
I just booked a SV BWV 2BR for June 3-9. I WANTED BW view, but got the ressie in the mail, and it was wrong. So.. I called MS and changed it to BW view, 2BR, and this was July 19, what, 6 weeks into the 11 mos window?? So, about 9 mos and 2 weeks out, and I was able to get a BW view..

I would imagine the extra time devoted to calling in daily would be less than the disappoiontment if you were unable to get the boardwalk view. Call daily, so you won't worry about not getting all your rooms!

Can't respond to your speicifc resort question.

But we do not book day-by-day. We do it all at once. In our view it wastes our time and the CMs at MS to book day-by-day. Vacation schedules and itineraries are just not that critical (IMO).
