which do you prefer? I swear by Birnbaum's. I know it is the one that is endorsed by Disney, so it won't give you any true "cutting corners" tips, nbut I have been bothered by the Unofficial Guide when I found it actually suggested putting paper towel in your childs shoes if they don't meet the height requirement on the rides. It amazed me that a book people paid money for would suggest you put your child in danger. I am sorry, but Disney has height requirements for SAFETY reasons.

I am sure those same 'shoe stuffers" would be the 1st to sue if something happened to their child on a ride.

So, what is it for you? Birnbaums or Unofficial?

I use both. Birnbaum's is easier to get thru, and I find the charts very helpful. But I like the Unofficial's descriptions of the rides. But I must say that I dislike alot of the negative tone in that book!

i like both but prefer the unofficial
birbs is great but they do it with disney so its really like a book from disney
you get more out of the unofficial guide

Birnbaum's all the way. The OG reads like someone wrote it w/ a smirk on their face.

I like Birnbaum's and recommend it - especially for those who do not know Disney well. We buy it every year. I have also purchased The Unoficcial Guide as a reference but don't update it every year.

I like to be given information about the rides and attractions. I don't need the opinions. I recommended the official guide to my sister, because it will be her first trip. I think it's better to experience things without the negativity that you can find in the unofficial book. If I'm going to spend thousands of dollars on a vacation I want someone convincing me that everything I'm going to be doing is great, not the opposite.

I like both--they're different enough that I don't get bored with the same info. I like reading about Disney parks almost as much as going--so the more reading material, the better.

I don't need either one, I'm like a walking, talking, breathing guide in my own right! :)

But I prefer reading the unofficial guide for the humor and non-company line information. Although I agree about the putting your child in danger, thats ridiculous!

I love the Unofficial Guide. Whenever we follow the touring plans, we move quickly and efficiently. I wish he had one for MVMCP, since it sounds like it will be much more crowded this year than it was the other time we attended. Debby

I like Unofficial Guide because it's funny. I like Birnbaum's for the pictures. UoG needs pictures in it! ;)
