Need your expert advice.

If the resort has interior bus service/stops and this is factored into your choice - please post this info so I know.

The time period in question is spring break of next year.

1) POP
2) POR
3) POGQ
4) CBR

Overall, the best bus service has to be POP Century. Only one stop, no running around the resort, no stops at other resorts. After that, I would say the AllStar resorts. They share with only each other.
The AKL bus services AKL and VAKL now...but only two stops.
For the moderates, they all have bus stops within each resort. I know that PO has a total of 5 stops...one at POFQ and four at POR. CSR and CBR have multiple stops within the resort.
The deluxes all share a bus with other deluxe resorts. BW is on the same route as the S/D. YC/BC shares between the two, and is sometimes included on the BW/S/D route.
Polynesian shares with CR and GF. WL and FtW share.
So...as you can see, it really doesn't matter. And it's not as if the deluxe resorts have their bus stops closer to the park entrances based solely on the fact that they are, indeed, deluxe resorts. Their stops can be a bit further out depending on the park. And the value resorts can be a bit closer in, again depending on the park.

I wouldn't choose a resort based on it's bus system..way too many variables.

If Pop Century is not totally booked, I would agree. However, Pop Century is 1.5 times the size of a single All-Star, yet only one bus. It takes much longer to clear the line for Pop Century after Park closing than it does for the All-Stars, as they can't split it up like they can the All-Stars.

We are big users of late night EMH nights and we always stay till well after closing. When we stayed at Pop during Free Dining in 2007 (The resort was booked to capacity and then some), we often still encountered monstrous bus lines after leaving late EMH. We looked over at the All-Star lines in each case and they were already cleared out.

So my vote for favorite busing is All-Star Resorts, specifically All-Star Sports or Music.

Port Orleans, French Quarter is pretty good too. While it does share with Riverside on some occasions, it is first pickup and first dropoff.

True, but I have found that they usually start running more buses for POP at the end of the day or just before park opening. I've been there when it is really booked pretty completely and I haven't had a truly bad bus wait. But, I many be lucky. My worst waits have always been at BW...man, those buses are just on a whole other time frame.
Of course, there was the bus to POP iin DTD in August. I have never seen so many people trying to get on one bus. It would seem that those people had been waiting for close to an hour by the time the bus pulled up. We had the misfortune of trying to get through the throng of guests in order to get to our bus stop. Those POP people weren't letting anyone get by them!!!

We had excellent bus service at POFQ over the 4th of July. We never shared a bus with POR, and they had a ton of busses running. I think we waited over 5 minutes for a bus a total of 1 time. In fact I was so pleased with the service that I plan on booking POFQ for our Spring Break trip next year.:thumbsup2

As far as the All Star resorts go, there is a good side to them sometimes sharing a bus. Say you are staying at the All Star Music. Heading back at night the line for the Music is long, but a bus for the Sports pulls up, and there is room left on it. You can hop on that bus, ride to the Sports, and then just take the 5 minute walk back to your resort. My brother in law and niece actually did that one night and said it beat standing their waiting for the "right" All Star bus to show.

I really liked the yc/bc. Coming back from dtd and I think ak were the only times w also stopped at bw/s/d. Yc was always first to pick up and drop plus while the bus may have been full it was pretty certain we would get the next bus if a line leaving the park was long.

Wow, during my stay at the Beach Club the busses were so bad it put us off ever staying there again. We always shared with the other Boardwalk area resorts, and that made for long bus rides. Which just goes to show how inconsistent the bus service is at any resort.

Just got back from Pop and we had very good bus service. Never had to wait very long and even at closing they had plenty of buses. One night at Epcot there was a huge line waiting and within a 15 min time frame no less than 6 buses came to pick up guests and the line was cleared out.

I also like the POFQ buses since they don't always share with POR.

Bus service can be hit-and-miss at any of the resorts. It's mass transit, and for what it is, it's pretty good. But, it will never be perfect. And, it can really vary from visit to visit, park to park, day to day, so it will be hard to get a good sense from a handful of people who post on the boards.
