You're not alone. Something on this site is compromised. I have had the trail traced to this site... I still come, I am just really careful not to hover over the ads/side bar stuff and never keep my email server up when I am using it.

I get them on my phone and on the computer only on Edge. And I do have an adblocker on the computer. The computer ones are not You win popups but popups saying my Windows is infected. Only happens on this site.

I've given up surfing the DIS on anything but my desktop. It's really a shame. I used to use the iPad a lot when I first got it, and it was working great on my phone for a while after the last upgrade. But it's just not worth dealing with the pop-ups.

I had the same experience on my old Android phone. I did some research and at the time there weren't good ad blockers, they sort of had to be part of the browser itself. Then I switched to an iphone 7 a few months ago (with Adblock+ added) and haven't had issues. No idea if Adblock+ works differently on the ios system, or differently because I now use Safari instead of Chrome, but it (knock wood!) sure seems to be working well so far.

Yes, they are bad on my iPhone 6 again. And ads sitting right in the middle of the page on top of posts so I can’t read them. The ad blocker on my iPad works great so I am fine when I’m home. But very annoying when I’m out & reading on my phone.

I did on my iPhone until I finally gave in and installed an ad blocker. It's worked fine since then. This is the only site that ever gave me a problem.

Some posters on other threads warned that the pop ups could lead to serious porn sites, so I installed AdGuard for Safari and the one for iOS (free versions). No more pop ups or dragging ads -- so far, so good. And, like other posters have noted, the problem only happened for me on this site.

On a serious note, I’ve had pop up ads for months, I can barely access this site. I just downloaded google chrome on iPhone, hoping that while help, been using safari
