Wrong yet again...Your initial post gave the impression that you were saying Saddam kicked the inspectors out right before the war, and that is NOT what happened.

But nice try  :teeth:

perhaps you should take the time to read a post before rushing to tell someone they are wrong....

my exact words were..weapons inspectors also said they weren't allowed to go to a lot of places they wanted to , and they were also kicked out by Saddam..

where in this sentence does it state a time, such as immediately prior to our invasion.....

LOL...you want the president to admit he was wrong, yet you seem incapable of doing the same..:smooth: :smooth:

Your ORIGINAL POST said that they were kicked out by Saddam, which is what I was responding to. Since I've only stated that five or six times, I can see how you might have missed it.

Really ? Last I heard he and his cronies were certainly terrorizing their populace, but that's helluva long way from genocide. (That's not a word to take lightly...it doesn't mean a random rape and torture, no matter how gruesome that might be).

Does he honestly think this country is full of people gullible enough to have supported a war against a country that had no link to 9/11 and was no kind of imminent threat to our security, had they known it going in ?

He knows that only 47% of the people are idiots and believe what the radical left media tells them.

1. It is implasible to believe that Al Quedia had no links with Iraq prior to 9/11. They had connections with every other country in that region and to every other terrorist organization there. Sadam was also a major financier of the same organizations. Merely having no foreknowledge of the exact details and date is not the same as no link. These groups operate in cells. I doubt even the attackers knew the whole plan as they were dying in the planes.

2. No imminent threat? Saddam was clearly supplying aid and assistence to groups with publicly stated goals of our destruction. The 911 commission has disproved Richard Clark's assertion that Iraq was not trying to buy uranium in Africa. Sadam TOLD the world that he HAD the WMD's you so easily brush off. Sadam had a long history of invading other countries (Iran, Kuwait).

3. This military action was a continuation of the original Gulf War since Iraq refused to meet the treaty that ended that conflict. Many years of embargos and other international sanctions had not chances the situation at all. The only way to prevent a repeat of previous acts of aggression in a very unstable region was to take him out.

4. Please, do us all a favor. Wear your Hammer and Sickle "I love Kerry" t-shirt as you get on a plane back to your Mother Russia. They like the easily decieved there.

How nice of you to drop in and add your usual brand of intelligent remarks to the discussion.

Why should anyone take anything you have to say seriously when all you do is call other people names?

I find your posts to be extremely rude and insulting and will be ignoring you from now on.

Actually, I don't think English or President Bush or me for that matter are superior at all. Actually, it's annoying that Kerry seems to be attempting to give the impression that he is in fact superior by virtue of speaking French or his wife speaking "everything". It is for me, in fact, a slam at Kerry's arrogance and condescension.

I was not aware that he ever said anything remotely resembling the idea that he was superior because he spoke french. Was this perhaps yet another talking point...oh my goodness me, yes, I do recall.....it was one of those things they showed every newsperson repeating over and over and over again.
In fact, clipped together, having so many different people repeat the exact same phrase, it would have been hilariously funny, were it not so frightening.

I for one am Glad our President had the guts to rid saddam and his henchmen.

It's not even clear anymore whether he was as brutal to his own people as we've been led to believe. While Tony Blair once said they'd found 400,000 bodies in mass graves, he recently admitted only 5,000 bodies have been found.

http://politics.guardian.co.uk/iraq/story/0,12956,1263901,00.html

(Don't get me wrong, 5,000 bodies is 5,000 bodies too many, but it's not 100's of thousands.)

Not exactly sure what you're getting at here. I'm not privy to "talking points" and don't generally watch any television news...and I don't listen to talk radio. The fact that Kerry is a francophile is something we wouldn't know if his camp didn't make a point of it. If a candidate speaks French in Canada and uses it in Quebec in a campaign or a candidate speaks Spanish in the U.S. and uses it in Miami in a campaign, it make some sort of sense. There is not a significant population in the U.S. who's first language is French. So what point is there other than the hope of the appearance of superiority to make sure that we know he speaks French?

It's my understanding that while Saddam wasn't involved with 9/11, he was very interested in Al Queda.

Your understanding is wrong. Both the 9/11 commission and the Senate Intelligence Committee refute that claim.

How many more times does it have to be pointed out that, other than a few meetings, there was no collaborative relationship between Saddam Hussein and Al-Qaeda.

Why are people holding on to this fantasy?

And if you're right, please, show us your evidence that Saddam Hussein was very interested in Al-Qaeda. And does "very interested" mean?

Then shouldn't your disdain be for the puppeteers, and not the puppet.

Look, I am certainly no fan of President Bush, but I certainly don't think that an 'idiot' is capable of being elected President.

Harry Truman had a little plaque on his desk that said "The Buck Stops Here".

Hmm....Well, unless you were referring to events that happened years ago and have no relevance to the current discussion, I just assumed you were speaking of the events leading up to the war.

My mistake.

Might want to check your facts before you start calling people "idiots"

Tell it to the 9-11 commission. See, if you knew anything at ALL about the region, you'd know that Saddam's was the only secular government around, something that is the complete antithesis (that means opposite) of everything Al Queda believes in.

:rotfl: Could you please show me where the 9-11 comimission proved anything at ALL like what you're claiming ? I'll wait right here while you do that

Just keep telling yourself that...we were upholding the honor of the UN, despite telling the UN we weren't interested in their opinion :hyper:

they were events leading up to the war, and have relevance to the current discussion, unless you are implying that only your point of view is relevant..
