Policy at BLT?

Does anyone know what the Policy is at the Bay Lake Tower for Magic Kingdom View???? Exactly what floor are you supposed to get (Example: 5th floor or high..etc..) I spoke with a CM and he said its supposed to be a "clear view" of the castle,fireworks, and Parade... Even if noone knows the rule for sure i'd love to hear from people who have stayed there with MK view and what floor you were on and what you were able to see from your room. Thanks!

Parade? I don't think you could see a parade.

There was a post yesterday where someone was on the 4th floor and the MK view was mostly parking lot. They were supposed to be moved today.

What has been reported is that it is the rooms in the center outer portion facing MK from 3d floor on up. Second floor is standard (no first floor rooms in that part of building). Members have already mentioned that 4th floor view is a piece of crap for the high point cost and you need to be 6 or above to really start seeing a lot of MK. In other words, there are going to be a lot of unhappy members.

On opening day, a few people reported that they were initially assigned to MK view on the 3rd floor. They immediately complained and were moved to higher floors.

Someone reported they booked standard view and received 2nd floor facing MK.

Make no sense how someone on floor 2 can pay up to 100 points less for a week than someone on floor 3 or 4. Based on pictures the 3rd and 4th floor are obstructed view MK.

I think everyone is hopeful that Disney is paying attention to the complaints and will reclassify the MK view rooms on the lower floors.

I just read a post saying Boardwalk DVC resort went through a similar problem when it first opened. DVD had to hurry and reclassify a bunch of rooms to be standard rooms requiring fewer points. It meant fewer points for Disney to sell at Boardwalk.

Also, Disney went through something similar with the DCL. They had to reclassify some rooms to be lower categories than they originally booked.

At Boardwalk there were no categories originally. Then people complained about some getting a boardwalk view and some getting a driveway view. So they created standard view early on.
