Points when can I book?

I will try to ask this without being too confusing:

If my use year is February do I have to wait until Feb to book or is it just 12month / 7 months? Basically Disney knows I will have points in February so I can book for March 12/7 months before right?

The month refers to when you year starts. For instance my use year is October. Right now i am still working on 2012 points, and i get 2013 points in October. So, any vacation i TAKE, not book between October 2012 and September 2013 will use 2012points. Whats important to understand is that the points count for your travel dates, not your booking dates.

you can book your home resort 11 months in advance. 11 months is 11 months whether your UY is february or october.

UY has nothing to do with when you can call to book. nothing at all.

UY is only an issue if you need to cancel (partly due to when your window for banking pts closes). traveling early in your UY gives you more options and less risk of losing pts...so nov trips with an oct UY are ideal, but sept trips are risky if you wind up having to cancel.

Points are loaded into your account long before your use year starts. I have an April use year and if I look at my account online, I have 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015. On April 1, they will load 2016 and delete 2012 (any points banked will show up under 2013). So there's never any waiting.

As Charles said, the window is 11/7.
