Points used for Reservation

I booked 2 reservations during my home resort 12 mos. window. I want to change them at 7 mos (soon) to a resort with less points for the same reservation. I have to bank by tonight and can't get thru to Member Services. Is there any way to tell what points from what year were used for the reservation? I ca't recall and don't know where the points would go back to if I change the reservation. I guess it's too late to reallocate points if I wanted to do that.

If your trip is still more than 7 months out then those points would not be the once bankable right now. You must have an August UY which means your trip has to be after Aug 1st.

If you had any banked or borrowed points those get used first always.

More specifics will help. Actual date of the trip.

ETA. If you have points to bank right now for your 2020 UY, bank then and then you can modify and use those in the trip which I assume is November?

Yes, you are correct about use year, and the trip is in November. But for a pandemic year I would always be borrowing points. I should've kept better track of them.

So you banked some 2020 points to book some of this stay and are worried if you don't use them all when you modify in April they will revert back to 2020 and then have passed the banking window correct?

Since your trip is in your 2021 UY, those trips could only be booked with points already in your 2021 UY.

That would be banked 2020, 2021 and borrowed 2022 if you needed them.

So, any freed up points should be your 2021 points. Those would be bankable until March 31st, 2022.
