Points transfer question

Hi,
I am thinking of going to WDW for Thanksgiving, but of course my home resort is all sold out (BWV). I know that there are rooms avail at SSR. If I had SSR points transfered into my account would I be able to book now or would I have to wait for the 7 month window?

Technically, yes. Transferred points are to retain their original resort and all booking windows that apply to that resort.

MS in the past has had computer issues where points 'morphed' into the receiving user's account as points for their own home resort.

If you do a transfer, make sure the CM makes a notation that they are transferred SSR points. If possible, transfer the points and make the reservation on the same phone call.

I presume you realize you could only use the transferred SSR points to make the reservation. You could not combine your BWV points with them and still use the 11-month window.
