Member services doesn't seem to be able to answer my question. They also told me I can't bank transferred points, so I told them, well, yes I know I can, please double check. Before double checking, he also told me I could accept as many transfers as I wanted, but could only transfer out once per year. Which is obviously untrue. But that just shows you how much I trust their information.
I am looking to get a transfer from someone who has a February use year. My use year is October. For Feb 2015 points, I need confirmation that those would count as my 2015 transfer. I already received a transfer in 2014. So even though I know Feb 2015 falls in my 2014 use year, do they calculate "1 transfer per year" by calendar year? I think they do, but I would feel much better if someone who has done it can confirm. I'm almost positive my last transfer was from Sept 2014 use year and it counted as my 1 for 2014. But Feb is so much further away from Oct than Sept is, and the guy I talked to on the phone told me "theoretically" it should be fine. Lovely.
I know a could only use Feb 2015 points through Jan 2016 unless banked, which I intend to do. I'm very familiar with that part of it.
Wish member services could tell me for sure.
