Sorry if this has been discussed before. What is the accepted
formula for equating points to dollars. I am a new DVC member
and during our initial walk through the rep showed us the
points to dollar comparison on the computer. I have now
booked my first DVC trip and was wondering how much $$
the 65 points at the BCV "costs".

Thanks

NjRon,

I used this formula.

Purchase price (say 150 pts x 84 = $12,600 ) divided by 38 then take that answer $331.58 and divide it by 150 = $2.21

add yearly maintentence dues per point (say $3.97)
and your $ per point = $6.18

With this formula 65 pts = $401.70

Of course if you finance, you have to add the cost of the loan to the $12,600. Also the yearly maintenence dues will change year to year.

Anyway that's how I did it. If anyone else sees any errors, or another way. Let me know.

Peace

Yes, 38 is the number of years you receive points.

Sorry it took so long to reply, was out of town for a day.

that sounds very accurate..........it is the way I'd approach the problem too.
