points re-allocation question

How difficut is it to get points re-allocated? I just noticed a problem with a waitlist that came through.

We have 3 contracts under one membership number, one main BCV, plus two add'l at BWV, Aug UY.

I made a reservation at OKW and wailtlisted at VWL for spring break. Original points used were from the BWV points. They cancelled and used the same BWV points but the add'l points needed to complete the reservation came from 2009 BCV points! I guard those points with my life and only use them for BCV reservations at the 11th month window.

Do you think I'll have a problem getting them put back and BWV points used instead? Do I need to ask for an experienced CM to fix it? I shudder to think how much more this can get messed up, especially since I want to change my Oct. res. to BLT when the window opens.

It can be done, and I would call and have it worked on. I'm hoarding whatever VB points we have left in '09 to bank them for a '10 vacation. MS used some of them when an '09 waitlist came through. I asked them to change them and they did. I also am on another waitlist and specified which of my points to use if the waitlist came through.

MS should be able to fix this for you. Please let us know how things turn out.

I'm on a waitlist at the moment and asked the MS CM to note exactly which points I want them to use if the WL comes through. I'll be interested to see if those instructions are followed, assuming I'm lucky enough to have my waitlist come through. So I'll be very interested to hear how things turn out for you, just in case I find myself in the same situation!

We just had MS add points back that were borrowed out from next year so we could use our DP's we just got for our upcoming SSR trip. It was no problem. If the CM won't do it, ask for a supervisor "coach".

Thanks for the good and hopeful advice! While I had specified which points for the original reseravtion I'm not so sure what I said (if anything) in regard to the waitlist. Though now I'm optimistic and will call MS tomorrow.

Due to DH's work schedule, our next trip has been booked, cancelled, rescheduled, cancelled and then rescheduled for a third time! We lost out on a Savanna View room at Kidani so we're booked into a Standard View room and on the waiting list for Savanna View, assuming his schedule doesn't get changed again!
