Points question

My wife and I bought 200 points at Saratoga. If we choose to go to AKL next year do we get to spend all 200 points or do we get a % since AKL is not our home resort?

They are your points and may be used as you wish without penalty. AKL is not a DVC resort and reservations may be made there thru MS 11 months ahead.

Keep in mind that once you have used points for a non-DVC option, they are commited to be used that way and can not be used at a DVC resort if you later cancel and want to make another reseravtion with the same points.

You may want to consider a stay at a DVC resort in a 1BR or larger villa before you use points at other resorts. Many have been surprised at the value of using points at DVC resorts versus other WDW resorts.
