Points in a Week With 2 Seasons

How does a week like Thanksgiving work where the full week falls within 2 Seasons? Does the full week default to the most expensive season? Or does it use the season of the first day of the reservation?
And can I reserve only 6 nights, adding up each day's points? Does DVC dedicate mostly full weeks to their inventory during holiday times?

You add up the points for each day. It is not necessary to book a full week.

The Weekly Rate is there simply for convenience when booking 7 consecutive nights that are all in the same point season. DVC does sell fixed weeks at Aulani and VGF, but all other bookings are based on nights.

DVC reserves the right to enact a minimum stay, but to my knowledge, they have yet to do so.

Thank you for your help. I ask about full weeks because I read on Dis Boards something about DVC dedicating a certain amount of reservations for only full week bookings at VGF. We will be in BCV. So I wondered if tHere was any history of that.

only aulani and now VGF. (and that only affects those who buy in for a guaranteed full week, not anyone else.)

if you are using pts to book a DVC resort, it's just the per night costs.

And those who bought fixed weeks can cancel that week and use the points to book individual nights if they wish so even the fixed weeks don't have an imposed length of stay.

And those weeks cost the members involved an extra 10% in both up front costs and yearly dues if that's the only way they use them.
