Points for Vero Beach

Hi folks

We are fairly new to DVC (2006) and new to DIS, so we're just "finding our feet" with how to use this forum. We have a question, which I hope someone can answer.

We have just booked a 2 week vacation at our home resort SSR for before flying back home to the UK. Can I buy points in any resort but use them for Vero? I know this may seem like a simple question, but it would help if someone would clarify it for me.

Inside of 7 months, points from any resort can be used anywhere. The only time you can't use BCV points (for example) is for a reservation more than 7months out.

Another option would be to borrow some of your points from next year.
