Points for Giftcards?

Hi. I was wondering if anyone knew if we get points for buying gift cards through mypoints. I was looking to buy a barnes and noble gift card and an aeropostale gift card for graduation gifts and was wondering if I get points for buying them online. thanks.

No. You have to buy merchandise to earn points.

You can earn points buying gift cards as long as you order them from giftcertificates.com through your Mypoints link. However, make sure the shipping cost isn't more than the points you would earn. If you buy quite a few giftcards, you usually come out ahead.

You can get points buying gift cards through certain merchants as well. I bought a giftcard to Best Buy and was suprised to see I got points for it.
