Points for ABD

has anyone ever used your points for an Adventure by Disney Trip?

Thoughts on doing this?

Most of the Adventures by Disney trips are trips we have done individually as a family. I couldn't justify the extra expense for them over doing them on my own.

Considering that we like having control of our own vacations - we hate being part of tours, dragged around on someone else's schedule - and that we don't have kids to concern ourselves with, I can't see us ever using Adventures by Disney. Cash or points, forget it.

Also: Giving up 500 points to do an ABD means giving up 500 points that can be used for up to 5 weeks of vacation elsewhere.

We might use the Concierge Collection one day, we do use the Disney Collection and we're going to use the World Passport Collection in 2010. ABD - not a chance.
